In Ring: Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way to the stage. Seth says it is not like him because he is usually on time. Seth apologizes to everyone for having to listen to Dolph. Seth says he has been here for a while but he wanted to wait until Dolph signed because of what Seth was going to say. Seth says he dealt with some travel issues, but they are not his travel issues. Seth says with the clause about having someone in his corner, it was there for a particular reason. Seth says he was tired of dealing with them two on one and since you are going to have the Scottish Psychopath in his corner, he might as well have a lunatic in his.
Dean Ambrose makes his way to the stage. Dean and Seth go to the ring and they square off. Seth wtih a super kick to Drew and Dean with the double underhook DDT on Drew.
Drew McIntyre (with Dolph Ziggler) versus Seth Rollins
They lock up and Drew with kicks and punches in the corner. Drew with punches and an Irish whip but Seth floats over and chops and punches Drew. Seth with a cross body but Drew catches Seth and hits a suplex. Seth rolls to the apron and Drew looks under the ring but Seth kicks Drew away. Seth with a suicide dive but Drew catches Seth and hits a spinebuster into the ringside barrier. Drew catapults Seth’s throat into the ring frame. We are back and Rollins with a drop kick to knock Drew off the apron. Rollins with a suicide dive and then he hits a second one. Seth pulls up the ring skirt and he sends Drew into the ring frame. They return to the ring and Seth with a running forearm into the corner and then he goes for a suplex but Drew blocks it. Seth with a knee to block a suplex. Rollins with a Falcon Arrow for a near fall.
Rollins with a thrust kick but Drew with a spinebuster and a near fall. Drew sets for the Future Shock DDT but Rollins escapes and misses an enzuigiri. Drew picks up Rollins for a power bomb but Drew with a rana to counter. Rollins with two super kicks and Drew is down. Seth goes up top but Drew chops Rollins. Drew sets for a super Air Raid Crash and he hits it. Drew gets a near fall. Drew with a running back elbow and then he sets for the wheelbarrow gourdbuster but Rollins counters and gets a near fall.
Rollins with Black Out and Ziggler attacks Rollins and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Seth Rollins (by disqualification)
After the Match: Rollins fights back and he clotheslines Ziggler over the top rope to the floor and hits a suicide dive.
Backstage: Renee Young is in the back with Seth Rollins. Renee asks Seth about having to deal with two men on his own. Seth says it is taxing but what Dolph and Drew don’t understand is that there is no quit in him. He will do what it takes to win back his Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam.
Dolph and Drew attack Seth in the interview area and then they are told to leave.
Finn Balor versus Drew McIntyre (with Dolph Ziggler)
Balor with Slingblade and a running drop kick that sends Drew into the corner. Balor goes up top and Dolph crotches him. The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: FInn Balor (by disqualification)
After the Match: Dolph and Drew work over Balor but Seth Rollins’ music plays and they stop. Drew is sent to the floor and Dolph gets to the floor before Seth can do anything to him. Kurt says that we will have a tag match.
Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre versus Seth Rollins and Finn Balor
Balor and Rollins get Drew and Dolph from the ramp. Dolph is sent to the floor once they return to the ring and then Balor and Rollins with a double clothesline to send Drew over the top rope to the floor. Ziggler with a side head lock but Rollins gets a near fall. Ziggler punches Rollins but Rollins blocks a punch and he connects with some chops. Rollins sends Ziggler to the floor and he hits a pescado. We are back and Rollins gets a near fall on Ziggler. Balor tags in and chops Ziggler. Balor with an Irish whip and Balor runs into an uppercut. Ziggler with a sunset flip but Balor rolls through and hits a drop kick. Balor with a forearm to Drew but Ziggler backs Balor into the corner. Drew tags in and he punches Balor. Drew with an arm bar. Drew with a baseball slide to send Finn to the floor and then he hot shots Balor on the ringside barrier.
Drew kicks Balor and then he tags Ziggler back in. Balor with punches and forearms but Ziggler keeps Balor from making the tag. Dolph with a punch but Balor with a Pele Kick and both men are down. Drew tags in and he keeps Balor from mkaing the tag. Drew misses a splash and Rollins tags in. Rollins sends Drew to the floor and he hits a suicide dive onto Dolph and Drew. Dolph is sent into the ringside barrier after sending Drew back into the ring. Seth with a springboard clothesline. Rollins with a forearm into the corner followed by a boot when Drew charges at him. Seth with a blockbuster for a near fall. Rollins sets for a super kick and he hits the thrust kick and then he knocks Ziggler off the apron. Rollins with a rollup for a near fall followed by a super kick for a near fall that is broken up by Ziggler. Balor with slingblade to Ziggler but Ziggler with a super kick. Rollins with a kick but Drew with an elbow. Drew with a reverse Alabama Slam for a near fall. Ziggler tags in and Drew gets Rollins on his shoulders. Rollins punches Ziggler and crotches him. Rollins sends Drew to the floor and hits Black Out on Ziggler for the three count.
Winners: Seth Rollins and Finn Balor
Backstage: Seth Rollins is in the interview area and he is asked about his meeting with Kurt Angle. Seth mentions the Evolution PPV and then he pinned Dolph Ziggler. Seth says he got a match at SummerSlam. Seth is asked what the match is and Seth says it is against Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Title.
In Ring: Kurt says Brock will defend the Universal Championship at SummerSlam or he is no longer champion. Paul says that Kurt drives a hard bargain and is a hell of a negotiator. Brock will defend the Universal Title at SummerSlam. Paul says on behalf of his client, he congratulates each and every one of you for your voices have been heard. You have all screamed at the top of your lungs that you want more Brock Lesnar. You want more of the beast, you want more of the conqueror. If you had it your way, the WWE Network would be all Brock Lesnar all the time. Kurt Angle has forced their hand and it is up to Kurt to determine who will be beaten, victimized, and conquered by Brock Lesnar. Bobby Lashley’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Bobby says when he came back to WWE, he had two goals in mind. He accomplished the first by defeating Roman Reigns at Extreme Rules. Now it is time to accomplish the other. Bobby says that is to beat Brock Lesnar and win the Universal Title.
Drew McIntyre comes out and he tells Lashley to hold on. Drew asks why do you think he came back to the WWE? Did he come back to make up the roster numbers or stand in Dolph Ziggler’s corner? He came back for change and ensure the Intercontinental Title stayed around Dolph’s waist. That was Phase One. Now it is time for Phase Two. Drew says it is the Universal Championship.
Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring. He says if you are looking for an opponent for Brock Lesnar, he is right here.
Elias makes his way to the ring with his guitar. He says he has one question for everybody. Who wants to walk with Elias? There is a lot of noise going on in this ring. Elias says nothing sounds nicer than Elias as Universal Champion. Elias says next week, his debut album drops. It only makes sense that you ride that success into SummerSlam and have him face Brock Lesnar. Finn Balor’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Finn says that what makes sense and he has a question . . . Who was the first Universal Champion? It only makes sense that it should be Finn Balor against Brock Lesnar. Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring. He says he doesn’t have any excuses and he doesn’t care about Brock Lesnar. He wants someone to fight tonight. Kurt says there will be two triple threat matches and the winners will meet next week to see who faces Brock at SummerSlam.
Backstage: Charly Caruso is with Seth Rollins. Seth is asked about the path to Brock Lesnar and how confident is he. Seth says last night wasn’t his night but tonight is his night. Backstage: Seth Rollins walks in the back and Jinder Mahal and Sunil Singh stop him. Jinder says life is beautiful. Instead of burning it down, you must embrace it. You can achieve inner peace if you chant his mantra. Seth says that maybe when he is burning it down, he is burning down pieces of his soul. Jinder chants Shanti and Seth leaves.
In Ring: Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth says over the years, you have given him some sweet nicknames. Mr. Money in the Bank since he won it in Boston. The Kingslayer, the Architect, Monday Night Rollins. The only moniker that matters now is Former Intercontinental Champion. Seth says he has an opportunity to change that. At Extreme Rules, he goes one on one against Dolph Ziggler for thirty minutes. The man with the most wins in that period is the Iron Man and leaves Extreme Rules as the Intercontinental Champion. Dolph is no joke. He is a veteran and he is savvy. Seth says that Dolph will bring that overgrown Scottish Wookiee, Drew McIntyre.
Dolph’s music interrupts and he makes his way to the stage with Drew McIntyre. Dolph thanks Seth for the kind words. He tells everyone not to be fooled because he will not only bring his good looks and this giant psychopath with him. He is also bringing the title. Don’t think for one second that he is not walking out of Extreme Rules as your champion. Drew says it is not all bad. At least you will have your nicknames and you will get a glimpse at the future of this place. Dolph says you are still Seth ‘Freaking’ Rollins. You are one of the best wrestlers to set foot in that ring. Dolph says you are no Dolph Ziggler. When it comes to that Iron Man match, he might win 5-0, 10-0, 100-0, or 1000-0.
Seth says the peroxide might be getting to Dolph’s brain. Dolph says you lost that one shred. Everything you poured into this title made it sweeter when he pried it from Seth’s hands. You don’t win an Iron Man Match by swinging a sledgehammer or flipping over tires. It is nothing you do in a Crossfit gym. You win by racking up victory after victory. Dolph says he is not one to brag, but at Kent State, he wrapped up enough victories he walked out the winningest wrestler.
Seth congratulates Dolph on 121 wins in college. He asks Drew if he graduated from Kent State. Drew says it does not matter where he has been, it is where he is going. He is going straight to the top. Seth says that Drew will be going wherever Dolph tells him to go. Seth wants to know why Drew is taking orders from that pipsqueak. Seth says Dolph knows your secrets. Seth asks that there are no photographs. It gets lonely in Scotland and there are only so many sheep to go around.
Dolph says it won’t be so funny after Extreme Rules when they roll over Seth on Sunday. Drew tells Seth to prove how much of a man he really is. Drew challenges Seth to a match tonight. Seth accepts the challenge and he tells Drew to be careful because he is a baaaaaaaaad man.
