Backstage: Seth Rollins is in the locker room and Jason Jordan asks if he is ready. Seth says he needs to talk to Jason. He tells Jason not to speak for him. Jason says he can cancel the match. Seth says he has unfinished business with Finn. Seth reminds Jason they are teammates. He has a problem with the way that Jason did it, not that he did it.
Finn Balor (with Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows) versus Seth Rollins (with Jason Jordan)
They lock up and Rollins with a side head lock and Rollins holds on when Balor tries to send him off the ropes. Balor with arm drags into an arm bar. Rollins backs Balor into the ropes and Rollins with an arm drag and shoulder tackle followed by a kick. Rollins with a chop and punches followed by kicks in the corner. Rollins with a snap mare into a reverse chin lock. Rollins with a knee to the midsection and he goes for a sunset flip and Balor rolls through and drop kicks Rollins. Rollins is sent to the floor and Balor with a running kick on the apron. We are back and Rollins with forearms in the corner. Rollins with a blockbuster but he holds his knee after landing. Rollins with a running knee to the back to send Balor to the floor. Rollins sets for a suicide dive and he hits it but Rollins holds his knee as he lands on the floor. Rollins with a neck breaker and he gets a near fall. Rollins with a cravate and a knee to the midsection followed by a forearm to the back of the head. Balor with forearms and Rollins with an elbow to the back of the head. Rollins with an elbow to the head and Balor with a boot and running forearms. Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring. After all of his attacks and after all of his hype, you would think that Samoa Joe would have been ready. When it was time to put up or shut up, Joe was silenced. That is why he is still champion. It isn’t because he is better than Joe, he was fighting for a purpose. He was fighting for Dean Ambrose. Roman says he has a message for everyone. If you mess with any member of the Shield, you mess with all of us. That was last week and it is this week. Jason Jordan interrupts and makes his way to the ring. Jason says when he watched Roman’s match last week, he got goosebumps. For the first time, he felt like he was part of something meaningful. Roman was right, when you mess with one of us, you mess with all of us. Jason says on behalf of his partner Seth Rollins, you proved that this is your yard. Jason wants to thank Roman.
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth says he appreciates Jason, but he has a lot to learn. Last week, you learned about teamwork. This week, you have to work on your timing. You are stepping on Roman’s moment. Jason says this is everyone’s moment. Jason says they all had issues with Samoa Joe and Roman took care of it. Jason says they took care of the Bar. They are all champions and they run the show. Roman says that Jason teams with Seth and Roman says that he is The Guy. Jason says they might not be the Shield, but they are pretty good. They might be the most dominant three man group in WWE.
Finn Balor, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson make their way to the stage. Finn says that Jason is excited to be part of something big, but are you really part of the most dominant three man group in WWE? Finn says he was running with Gallows and Anderson for ten years before you knew that Kurt Angle was your dad. Karl says that they have run with Finn for a long time and you can see it on the WWE Network. Luke says they knew it was time to stand alone when Finn showed up. They won the tag titles. Backstage: Kurt says he wanted to see Jason and Seth Rollins enters. Seth Rollins says he wants Samoa Joe tonight. Jason says he has been waiting patiently for Samoa Joe so he wants the match. Kurt says he knows both of them want Joe, but every time you get close, Sheamus and Cesaro get in their way. Seth says he will not team with Jason again. Jason says he did not get his head kicked in by Sheamus last week. Jason says he does not want to move backwards and be part of a tag team. Kurt tells them that if they can work together they can be unstoppable and they will need to do it fast because they will be facing Cesaro and Sheamus for the Tag Titles.
Raw Tag Team Championship Match: Sheamus and Cesaro versus Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins
Jordan and Sheamus start things off and Jordan with a waist lock take down and he gets a near fall. Sheamus with an elbow when they get into the ropes and Cesaro with a shot to Jordan. Rollins makes the blind tag and he hits a double cross body. Rollins with slingblade to Cesaro and then he hits a suicide dive. We are back and Sheamus with a top wrist lock on Rollins. Sheamus turns it into a wrist lock and Cesaro kicks Rollins and they hit a double thrust kick into the corner for a near fall. We see footage from the commercial break when Sheamus clotheslined Rollins on the floor. We are back to live action and Cesaro with a reverse chin lock. Rollins gets Cesaro on his back so he can get to his corner but Cesaro with an Irish whip and Sheamus tags in and kicks Rollins. Sheamus with forearms across the chest but Rollins with an elbow and then he connects with punches.
Sheamus grabs the ankle to keep Rollins from making the tag. Cesaro tags in and he hits a leg drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall. Cesaro with a reverse chin lock. Sheamus tags in and they hit a double clothesline and Sheamus gets a near fall. Rollins is sent to the floor and Cesaro with a clothesline. Jordan attacks Cesaro but Sheamus and Cesaro send Jordan into the ringside barrier. Sheamus with an Irish whip. Rollins escapes a uranage and hits a DDT. Rollins gets to his corner but Jordan is still down. Cesaro attacks Rollins from behind and then Sheamus hits a uranage back breaker for a near fall by Cesaro. Sheamus kicks Rollins and Cesaro gets a near fall. Sheamus tags in and Sheamus elevates Rollins for a rising European uppercut by Cesaro for a near fall. Continue Reading
Jason tells Seth he understands he is not the guy that Seth wants to see right now. You want Samoa Joe. Jason says you are not the only one. He says he has been asking Kurt Angle for a match against Samoa Joe for two weeks. Jason gets to the ring and he says he is done asking. He says he has nothing but respect for Seth, but if you have a bone to pick with Samoa Joe, you have to pick them when he is done. Seth gets a mic and he tells Jason he respects and appreciates him. He says that he knows that Jason has Kurt’s voice in his head that he needs to win. This is not your big opportunity . . .
Samoa Joe’s music plays and he makes his way to the stage to speak. Joe says this is nice. He feels like the belle of the ball and all of the popular people want to dance with him. Joe says he believes in simple solutions. Why not have Jason Jordan versus Seth Rollins and the winner gets beat down and put to sleep by him. Seth says that sounds wonderful but the match has already been made between him and Joe. He tells Joe to mosey on down and kick in his teeth while Jordan looks elsewhere for his daddy’s approval. Jordan pushes Rollins down. Joe comes to ringside and takes a seat.
Seth Rollins versus Jason Jordan
Rollins avoids Jordan when Jordan wants to lock up. Jordan with a take down into a waist lock and take down. Jordan with a waist lock take down and he gets a near fall. Jordan with a side head lock. Jordan with a shoulder tackle and Rollins with a kick and he clotheslines Jordan over the top rope and he lands on Joe’s feet.We are back and Jordan with a shoulder tackle and shoulders to Rollins. Rollins with a thrust kick and he sends Jordan to the floor. Rollins comes off the apron but Jordan catches Seth and runs him into the ringside barrier. Jordan gets a near fall. Jordan punches Rollins and connects with forearms to the kidneys and shoulders to the lower back. Jordan with a hard Irish whip for a near fall. Jordan runs Rollins into the turnbuckles. Joe says he has come out to finish what he started with Roman Reigns even though he is facing Dean Ambrose tonight. Joe says he does not want Roman to bring out his lap dogs, just Roman. Seth and Dean are watching on the monitor and Seth tells Dean to get Roman. Joe tells Roman if he has a problem with what he says, come out. Joe says he does not need anyone. He does not need Sheamus and Cesaro. If it wasn’t for the Shield, you would be nothing. If you have a problem with that, feel free to come to the ring and prove him wrong.
Roman has joined Seth and Dean watching on the monitor and he says that he’s got it. Roman’s music plays and he comes to the ring and he is alone. Roman and Joe exchange punches and Roman with the advantage and he kicks Joe in the corner. Sheamus and Cesaro come through the crowd and Roman stops them but Joe is able to apply the Kokina Clutch. Rollins and Ambrose come out and while they fight on the floor, Joe continues to choke out Joe. Dean goes into the ring and Sheamus hits Dean from behind. Rollins tries to protect Roman but Joe and Sheamus attack Rollins. Sheamus and Cesaro hit a spike White Noise. Joe with a uranage to Ambrose to put him next to his partners on the mat.
Sheamus versus Seth Rollins
Rollins punches Sheamus as the bell rings and then he chops Sheamus. Rollins escapes a slam attempt and Sheamus is sent over the top rope to the floor. Rollins with a suicide dive. Rollins sends Sheamus into the apron. They return to the ring and Sheamus with a double sledge. Sheamus with a clothesline. Sheamus punches Rollins in the midsection and then the head. Sheamus with a back breaker and he gets a near fall. Sheamus sends Rollins into the turnbuckles and connects with forearms in the back and kicks to the leg in the corner. Continue Reading
