WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth says it is heating up. There is an electricity in the ring and a buzz in the back. He says Elias took him to his limit and he loved every second of it. He is still standing and he is still the Intercontinental Champion. Seth says he is a fighting champion and he suggests that we have an Open Challenge. There is no better place than here and no better time than right now. Seth wants to know who has the guts to come out and face him. Dolph Ziggler comes out and then he is joined by Drew McIntyre. Dolph goes into the ring so he will be the opponent for Seth tonight.
Seth Rollins versus Dolph Ziggler (with Drew McIntyre) for the WWE Intercontinental Championship
Ziggler with a kick and he goes for the Zig Zag but Seth holds the ropes. Rollins goes for Black Out but Ziggler moves. Dolph goes to the floor and we go to commercial. We are back and Rollins goes for a springboard move but Ziggler drop kicks Rollins to the floor. Ziggler punches Rollins on the floor. They return to the ring and Rollins with punches but Ziggler with a kick to the knee. Ziggler gets a near fall. Ziggler with a neck breaker for a near fall. Ziggler with a leaping elbow drop for a near fall. Ziggler with a chin lock and the arm in a hammer lock using the leg. Ziggler sends Rollins to the mat. Ziggler chokes Rollins in the ropes. Rollins with punches and Ziggler with a hard Irish whip for a near fall.
Ziggler with a reverse chin lock and body scissors. Rollins with a suplex attempt but Ziggler lands on his feet. Rollins catches Ziggler and catapults him into the ring post. Both men are down. Rollins gets to his feet first and he chops Ziggler. We are back and Ziggler with a splash but Rollins blocks the neck breaker and gets a near fall with a back slide. Ziggler with a sunset flip to counter the buckle bomb and he gets a near fall. Rollins with a V Trigger for a near fall. We see footage from the break when Rolins and Ziggler both went over the top rope to the floor on a suplex attempt.Rollins looks at McIntyre and then he sets for thrust kick and then he hits it but misses Black Out. Ziggler with a kick to the knee and a Fameasser for a near fall. Ziggler gets to his feet first and he sets for the super kick. Rollins with a super kick and a second one for a near fall. Rollins goes up top and goes for the frog splash but Ziggler moves out of the way and Rollins hits the mat. Ziggler goes up top and Rollins crotches Ziggler. Rollins with a head butt and he sets for the superplex but Ziggler blocks it. Ziggler punches Rollins to the mat and Rollins goes up top and Ziggler stops him again with a head butt. Ziggler with a cross body but Rollins rolls through and hits a buckle bomb.
Rollins with a thrust kick and he hits McIntyre. Ziggler with a rollup for a near fall. Rollins with a rollup for a near fall and then Ziggler rolls through for the three count.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler (new Champion)

In Ring: Monday Night Raw opened with Elias inside the ring, waiting to perform. He stated he was the most valuable face in WWE and will be even more valuable after he captures the IC title at Money in the Bank. He reminded everyone that he attacked Seth Rollins last week and admitted he was pained, because he broke one of his favorite guitars. Elias began singing over footage of Rollins being hit with the guitar last week, knocking some local sports teams for good measure. Out came WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. Elias wound up his guitar and dared Rollins to enter the ring, but instead the champion circled the ring. Rollins finally entered, but was jumped by Jinder Mahal. They worked over Rollins, who was saved by Roman Reigns. They brawled. Kurt Angle came out and declared there would be a tag team match tonight.
Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal & Elias
Elias controlled Rollins early, including dropping him throat-first across the top rope for a two count. Rollins nailed a right hand but was prevented from tagging out. Elias worked over Rollins with a side headlock. Rollins went for a suplex, but Elias nailed him in the neck, which was still hurting from the guitar shot last week. Jinder tagged in but was tossed over the top. Roman made the hot tag and began working over Mahal in a preview of their PPV bout. Roman worked him over with right hands but was caught with a big boot while setting up for a spear. Elias tagged in but was kicked down by Roman. Elias went to the floor. Roman charged around the ring and went for the Driveby on Mahal, who was saved by Sunil Singh. That allowed Elias to catch Roman with a knee strike on the outside as they went to commercial.
When they returned from commercial, Mahal was working over Roman. He used a side headlock and nailed several knee drops. Mahal and Elias tagged in and out, mauling Roman. Rollins made the tag but Elias cheated and was able to score the pin on the IC Champ.
Winners: Elias & Jinder Mahal
In Ring: Elias was still in the ring asking the fans to shut their mouths. He said he would leave. The crowd chanted, “Leave.” Before anything could happen musically, out came WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins. They noted it was Rollins’ birthday. Elias remained in the ring and wasn’t happy about not being able to perform. They faced off. Elias finally walked off. It felt like a tease of something larger to come between the two.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Seth Rollins vs. Jinder Mahal
Rollins went right after Mahal, attacked him at the bell and drilling him with right hands. They battled at ringside as they went to commerical. Wjen they returned, Mahal was in control and suplexed Rollins over for a two count. The announcers noted that Mahal was focusing his attack on Rollins’ core. Mahal locked on an abdominal stretch. Rollins fought his way out and sent Mahal to the floor. Holding his ribs, Rollins nailed a dive to the outside. Back in the ring, Rollins came off the ropes with a Blockbuster for a two count. Mahal sent him up and over the ropes during a charge in the corner. Mahal caught him with a gutbuster and scored a two count. Jinder went for the Colossus, but Rollins blocked. He went for the stomp but it was blocked. Rollins nailed a kick to the face and scored with the Falcon’s Arrow, scoring a two count. Sunil Singh interfered and was thrown out by the referee.
That distraction allowed Mahal to nail Rollins in the ribs with a steel chair but Rollins still kicked out. The crowd chanted for Rollins as he nailed an enziguiri. Sunil returned but Rollins pulled him into the ring and hit a BuckleBomb on him, sending him into Jinder in the corner. Everyone was down, exhausted. No DQ on Jinder, despite Suni returning. Rollins saw the chair that Jinder hit him with and decided to wallop Jinder with it several times. Rollins was disqualified.
Winner: Jinder Mahal (DQ)
After the match: Rollins chased Jinder up the aisle, drilling him with the chair again and again. Sunil tried to intervene but was laid out with the chair. Rollins stood on the announcers’ table, posing for the crowd. Elias returned from the back and drilled Rollins from behind with his guitar, sending Rollins crashing off the stage to the floor below as they went to commercial. When they returned from commercial, Seth Rollins was on a stretcher but was asking the EMTs and the WWE officials to give him a minute so he could leave on his own. You could hear fans so concerned they were singing Happy Birthday to him. Rollins finally pulled himself up and was walked out with the assistance of Jamie Noble Goulet and Adam Pearce Garea.
Jinder sends Roman into the ringside barrier and apron. Mahal kicks Roman in the ring and punches Roman. Owens joins in and he works over Roman. Seth Rollins’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring and he punches Mahal and Owens. Rollins punches Sunil as well as he continues to make the save for Roman.
Jinder Mahal and Kevin Owens versus Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
Rollins with chops to Mahal as the match is joined in progress. Mahal with a shoulder tackle. Rollins with a drop kick. Rolilns with a pescado onto Mahal. Roman tags in and Seth with a forearm in the corner followed by a clothesline from Roman for a near fall. Roman with punches but Mahal with an elbow and Owens tags in. Owens kicks Roman. Mahal tags back in and he kicks Roman. Mahal with a reverse chin lock. Mahal with an elbow to the top of the head and Mahal with a half nelson and chin lock. Mahal backs Roman into the corner and connects with shoulders while Owens is tagged in. Owens with punches. Owens with a reverse chin lock. Owens with a kick but Roman with a clothesline and both men are down. Mahal tries to interfere but he is sent to the floor by Roman. Mahal pulls Rollins off the apron as Seth tries to make the tag. Mahal sends Rollins into the ringside barrier while Owens hits a cannonball and gets a near fall.
We are back and Mahal with a chop and he sends Roman into the corner. Owens tags in and he punches Roman. Owens with a shoulder in the corner. Owens with punches to Roman as he taunts Rollins on the apron. Roman with punches but Owens with a drop toe hold. Owens with cross faces to Roman followed by a kick to the ribs and he gets a near fall. Owens with a rear chin lock into a reverse chin lock. Roman gets Owens on his shoudlers for a moment but Owens escapes. Reigns with a boot to the head and both men are down. Mahal and Rollins tag in and Rollins with a springboard clothesline to Mahal followed by an elbow. Continue Reading
