Roddy Piper makes his way to the ring for Piper’s Pit. Roddy says that he was Old School before Old School was cool.
The Shield make their way to the ring.
Ambrose takes the mic and he gets in Piper’s face and he wants to know who gave this old man a live microphone. They were not going to wait around while he rambled on and on. Dean says that Roddy should be thanking God that The Shield was not around in his prime because he would not make it to 112 years old.
Piper says that he took his mic and this is Piper’s Pit, not Ambrose’s Alley.
Roddy says that he has been beaten up and he has fought some guys. Things don’t work the way they used to, except for his mind. There is only one man who can match him on the mic and that is CM Punk.
Ambrose says that he should know to tread lightly. Seth stops Dean and he says that he appreciates what Roddy is doing. This is not 1985 and the Shield is too smart for his tactics. There are no cracks. Roddy is jealous because Dean is a better US Champion than Roddy ever was.
Roddy tells them to hang on a second. Seth may be right, but Seth, one-on-one, cannot beat Punk. Dean, one-on-one, couldn’t beat Punk either. Roddy tells Reigns that he will be fighting Punk tonight and he asks Roman if it means that he is better than Seth or Dean if he can beat Punk? Is that a crack in the Shield? Are they holding him back?
Reigns gets up and he tells Roddy that he will beat CM Punk and he tells Roddy if he touches him again, he will break his old ass in half.
Dean tells Roman to leave a memorable impression on Mr. Piper.
They back Roddy into the corner and Punk’s music plays and The New Age Outlaws join Punk to the ring. They send The Shield to the floor. Continue Reading
There are three guys who can lay claim that it was their year and that was The Shield. In 2013, the Shield has been unstoppable. Dean Ambrose is the US Champion. Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are former tag team champions.
Punk has a proposition for The Shield. When their paths cross . . .
The Shield’s music interrupts Punk and they make their way to the ring.
Dean tells Punk to finish his thought. What is the big challenge and it better be a good one. They better get a good reason not to end Punk as they end 2013.
Punk says the three of you can beat any one man and it has been established over the last 365 days. He will not take anything away from them individually. He wants to fight the best. Punk says that one of you is the best.
Dean asks Punk if he wants to do this again. Ambrose says that he will not leave this ring without taking a piece of him.
Punk says that he wasn’t talking to Dean. He was talking about Seth and Roman because he has beaten Dean a half dozen times. It wasn’t easy but he did it.
Dean wants to know if Punk thinks that he is joke.
Punk says that Dean is the weak link. He wants to know if Roman is the man in The Shield.
Seth says that Punk is looking at the best. He will fight him tonight.
Punk says that everyone talks about Roman Reigns.
Seth and Roman have a discussion about whether Seth can beat him. Seth tells Roman to let him take him. Seth says that he is better than Punk and he wants to prove it.
Brad Maddox comes out and says as the General Manager, he wants to wish everyone a Happy New Year. CM Punk will face Seth Rollins and he wants a referee.
Seth Rollins (with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns) versus CM Punk
Punk with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Punk catches Rollins and tries for the Go To Sleep but Rollins gets to his feet and he gets to the floor.
We are back and Rollins punches Punk. Rollins with more punches followed by kicks as the referee warns Rollins. Punk with an Irish whip and kick to Rollins followed by a butterfly back breaker. Rollins with an elbow and Irish whip. Punk floats over and he applies an Anaconda Vice in the ropes. Continue Reading
Dean Ambrose says that CM Punk got lucky at TLC, but he is in pain. He has three thorns in his side. Punk’s pain brings them pleasure. When is Punk so buddy buddy with John Cena? Seth says that they have walked down the alley many times so they know what lurks in the shadows. The result is the same, them lying down gasping for air.
Reigns says that Big E Langston has the target on his chest. He is in the deep end with the sharks. The Shield is an evolutionary machine that tears up everything in its path.
CM Punk, John Cena, and Big E Langston versus Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns
Ambrose and Cena start things off. They lock up and Cena with a side head lock and Cena with a shoulder tackle. Rollins tags in and Dean tells him something. Rollins with a kick and punch to Cena. Cena punches back and he Irish whips Rollins. Rollins misses a clothesline and Cena with two shoulder tackles followed by a Blue Thunder Bomb. Cena goes for the five knuckle shuffle but Rollins gets to the floor.
Reigns tags in and he has something to say to Cena and he pushes him. Cena pushes back. Cena with punches but Reigns with a Samoan drop for a near fall. Reigns with punches as we go to commercial.
We are back and Rollins punches Cena in the corner. We see footage from the commercial when Reigns connected with a Superman punch. Rollins with a blockbuster for a near fall. Ambrose tags in and he punches Cena. Ambrose with a snap elbow drop for a near fall. Ambrose with a head butt to Cena. Ambrose with punches to Cena. Continue Reading

Shawn says that he always liked Punk. What he did last week pained him more than it pained Punk. On that note, what he is about to do pains him more than it will pain Punk. He introduces Punk’s opponents.
The Shield make their way through the crowd and to the ring.
Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Seth Rollins versus CM Punk, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso
Ambrose and Jimmy start things off and Jimmy with a side head lock. Ambrose with a shoulder tackle but Jimmy with an elbow and punch. Jimmy with an Irish whip and back body drop for a near fall. Jey tags in and Jimmy with a shoulder and Jey with a flying forearm into the corner. Jey with an uppercut and he gets a near fall.
Punk tags in and he goes up top and punches Ambrose in the arm. Punk with an Irish whip but he misses a charge. Rollins tags in and he gives Rollins a drop toe hold. Jimmy tags in and he drops a knee and then he applies an arm bar. Rollins backs Jimmy into the corner and he punches Jimmy.
Rollins with an Irish whip but Jimmy slides into the corner and hits a clothesline. Jey tags in and they hit a double back elbow and a double elbow drop for a near fall. Jey with an arm bar. Jey sends Rollins to the mat and gets a near fall. Jey with an arm bar.
Rollins with a punch and elbow to the back of the head followed by a back rake. Jey with a shoulder in the corner and he tags in Jimmy. Jimmy with an uppercut. Rollins with a knee to the midsection. Jimmy and Rollins exchange punches and kicks. Jimmy with a clothesline that sends him and Rollins over the top rope to the floor. Continue Reading
