Miz, Curtis Axel, Bo Dallas, Sami Zayn, and Kevin Owens versus Bobby Lashley, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, and Bobby Roode
Rollins wants to start for his team while Owens waits for someone to start. Owens with a kick to the midsection followed by punches and kicks. Owens with more punches and a knee to the midsection. Owens with an Irish whip but Rollins with a flatline into the turnbuckles. Rollins with a clothesline and he sends Owens to the floor and Rollins with a pescado. We have five men in the ring and five on the floor as we go to commercial. We are back and Axel with a side head lock on Rollins. Rollins with a drop kick and he tags in Roode. Roode with a kick and suplex for a near fall. Balor tags in and he goes up top and hits a double sledge to the arm. Axel with a punch and a sunset flip but Balor rolls through and hits a drop kick for a near fall. Strowman wants to tag in but Axel runs Balor into the corner and Owens tags in and he punches Balor. Dallas tags in and he kicks Balor. Dallas with punches and Miz tags in.
Miz kicks Balor and chokes him in the corner. Owens chokes Balor while the referee is out of position. Miz with a boot to Balor for a near fall. Miz with a reverse chin lock. Balor with punches but Miz with Reality Check for a near fall. Zayn tags in and he punches Balor in the midsection and then the head. Zayn misses a splash into the corner and Lashley tags in with a clothesline and overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Lashley with a clothesline into the corner followed by a shoulder. Lashley knocks Owens off the apron and that distraction allows Zayn to hit a clothesline. Lashley with a clothesline and then he sets for a delayed vertical suplex. Continue Reading
In Ring: Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth says there have been a lot of ups and downs but that was the loudest ‘Burn it Down’ he heard. After that match last night, he can finally say Seth Freakin’ Rollins is back baby. Seth says Grand Slam Rollins has a nice ring to it. He caught up to Roman and Dean so every member of the Shield is a Grand Slam champion. It meant the most for him to win the final leg on the grandest stage of them all.
Finn Balor makes his way to the ring. He apologizes for interrupting the celebration and there is something he has been thinking about all day and he wants to get it off the chest. Seth welcomes Finn into the ring. Finn congratulates Seth and tells him he deserves it. You were the better man, last night. Last night was a triple threat match. There was a winner, there was a loser, and there was this guy . . . left wanting more. Finn says he came out here and he wants to be the first person to step up to Seth and challenge him for the title. Balor offers his hand and Rollins shakes it. Miz interrupts and he is joined by Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas on the stage. Miz says he is more than happy to interrupt your celebration. Miz says that Seth does not deserve it. Miz says Seth does not deserve it, Miz says he does. He made that the most prestigious and relevant title in WWE. He walked down that ramp by himself because he knew if the MizTourage came to the ring with him, they wouldn’t hear the end of the excuses that they would make when he won.
Finn and Seth say that Miz just said he could not win without the MizTourage. Miz says he changed up his strategy and he is a changed man. Two weeks ago, he became a father. Finn and Seth congratulate him. Miz says he became a father and he realizes that everything he does affects hers. His little angel watched his match in the arms of his wife, Maryse. Maryse says that when Monroe saw Seth steal his title, it made her cry. You made his little Princess cry. Miz says he dried after hearing that both Monroe and Maryse cried. Continue Reading
Intercontinental Title Match: The Miz vs Seth Rollins vs Finn Balor
Miz sends the Miztourage to the back, and Balor is ushered to the ring by a slew of Balor Club members. Fast start, as they trade armdrags and rollups on one another before Rollins clotheslines Miz to the floor. Balor clotheslines Seth out, and then takes both men out with a dive. Balor is looking RIPPED tonight. Balor tosses Miz back into the ring and counters a sunset flip with a dropkick for 2. Seth in with a springboard clothesline on Balor, but Miz rams him into the corner and hits a running kick on Balor for 2. We see John Cena watching the show from the crowd as Rollins hits a double blockbuster and covers Miz for 2. Miz hits a corner clothesline on Balor, then goes to the top and hits a double axhandle on Rollins for 2. Miz hits a neckbreaker on Balor for 2, then gets him in a Million Dollar Dream. Rollins breaks that up and tosses Miz to the floor, hits a slingblade on Balor, then takes Miz out with a dive.
Balor hits Rollins with a slingblade of his own, Seth superkicks Balor, Miz hits a DDT on Rollins for 2. Miz goes for a figure four on Rollins, Rollins kicks him off and goes for a springboard something, but Miz superkicks him off the top rope and to the floor. Miz blocks a leaping enziguiri and hits a legwhip over the top rope on Balor, then gets him in a figure four right in the middle of the ring. Rollins off the top with a frogsplash on Miz for 2, breaking up the figure four. Balor tries the apron punt on Rollins, Rollins blocks and goes for a buckle bomb into the barricade, but Balor gets out and rams Rollins into the Miz against the barricade. Balor and Rollins are back inside trading strikes, Balor hits the overhead kick, and hits the Curtain Call for 2. Balor goes to the top for the double stomp, but Miz knocks him down and goes for a superplex.
Balor blocks and Rollins grabs Miz and buckle bombs him, then runs back up the corner and hits the superplex on Balor, but Balor counters the second one to a small package for 2. Miz quickly hits the Skull Crushing Finale on Rollins, but Rollins kicks out at 2. Balor counters a Skull Crushing Finale attempt to a rollup for 2, then hits a leaping enziguiri and goes up again for the double stomp. Miz shakes the rope and knocks Balor down on the top turnbuckle, Balor blocks a superplex, Rollins hits them both with a leaping enziguiri, and tries a springboard something into the ring, but Miz counters to a super Skull Crushing Finale. Balor breaks the pinfall at 2 with a top rope double stomp, then hits Miz with a slingblade, shotgun dropkick, and comes off the top with the double stomp, but Rollins comes right in and curb stomps Balor. Rollins curb stomps Miz and covers, and we have a new Intercontinental Champion!
Winner: Seth Rollins
In Ring: Seth Rollins’ music interrupts and he makes his way to the ring. Seth says he normally is not a fan of MizTV but this is some great stuff. The MizTourage hashing out their problems. Seth says he doesn’t mean to interrupt but he will stand here and watch. Miz says Seth did interrupt. The only problem they have is Seth. Seth says if he is out here, then he can help. Seth says he will mediate. The MizTourage feels a little underappreciated. When was the last time you looked them in the eyes and said thank you? Miz asks Seth if he is kidding. Seth says he is not kidding. He says Miz should be thanking them every chance he can. Without them, you wouldn’t be the Intercontinental Champion. Seth suggests a MizTourage chant and Miz reminds everyone what to do when his hand goes up. Miz says they appreciate each other. Miz says he would still be Intercontinental Champion without them. Bo says Miz is a phony A Lister who can’t fight. Seth wants Bo to say it a little louder and Miz wants to know what Bo just said.
Before Bo can respond, Finn Balor makes his way to the ring. Finn apologizes for interrupting but he is a guest. He says that Miz needs his help now. People want to know what Bo just said. Finn says sometimes it is hard to hear what people say when you are in the ring, but he heard it crystal clear. Bo said that the Miz was the biggest jerk he ever met. Bo says he did not call Miz a jerk. Finn tells Miz it is nothing to worry about. Bo tells Finn what he said. Miz tells Bo to say that again. Miz pie faces Bo when he speaks. Curtis has to hold Bo back. Miz wants to fire Bo up. They are less than two weeks away and you are letting them play us and try to divide them? The only thing that matters is the Intercontinental Champion. Miz says he is 34 days away from being the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion. Better than Randy Savage.
