Seth Rollins versus Dean Ambrose for the WWE Title
Rollins attacks Ambrose during the introductions and the referee tries to keep Rollins away from Ambrose. Ambrose goes to the floor and Rollins with forearms to the back and he sends Ambrose into the ring post.
We go to commercial.
We are back and the match is officially started. Rollins with kicks and a Falcon Arrow for a near fall. Rollins kicks Ambrose in the head and then he punches Ambrose. Rollins with cross faces to Ambrose and then he goes to the apron and he kicks Ambrose as Dean’s head hangs over the middle rope. Rollins with a knee drop to the head. Rollins with a kick to the back. Rollins with a head butt and he kicks Ambrose. Rollins punches Dean in the corner and the referee warns him.
Rollins with a hard Irish whip to Ambrose. Rollins with another Irish whip and Rollins with a back breaker and he gets a near fall. Rollins with a reverse chin lock. Ambrose gets to his feet and he punches and chops Rollins. Dean is sent to the floor and Rollins follwos. Ambrose with chops on the floor. Rollins with an Irish whip into the ringside barrier and Ambrose back body drops Rollins into Yeatonville. Ambrose gets on the announce table but he misses a splash when Rollins moves and Dean lands on the ringside barrier.
Seth sends Dean back into the ring and Rollins with a springboard knee to the head and a super kick for a near fall.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Rollins is still in control. Rollins with an Irish whip and forearm into the corner. Rollins with another forearm into the corner. Rollins sets for a thrid one but Ambrose with a clothesline and both men are down. Dean with punches and chops. Ambrose with forearms and a rollup for a near fall. Ambrose gets another near fall. Ambrose goes up top and Rollins with a kick followed by a buckle bomb. Rollins goes up top and misses a frog splash. Ambrose with a La Magistral for a near fall. Ambrose goes for the double underhook DDT but Rollins pushes Dean into the corner. Rollins with a thumb to the eye but Ambrose with a back body drop to send Rollins to the floor. Ambrose wtih a suicide dive and then Rollins rolls back to the floor. Ambrose goes up top and hits the elbow to the chest.
Ambrose rolls Rollins back in and Ambrose goes up top and Rollins leaps to the turnbuckles and hits a superplex. Ambrose escapes a Falcon Arrow and hits the double underhook DDT for the three count.
Winner: Dean Ambrose
Before our main event starts, Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.
Kevin Owens versus Dean Ambrose in a Non Title Match
Owens hits Ambrose from behind when the bell rings but Ambrose with a cross body and Owens goes to the floor. Owens is sent into the announce table and then Ambrose gets in Rollins’ face. Ambrose punches Owens and then Rollins hits Ambrose and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Dean Ambrose (by disqualification)
After the match: Rollins attacks Ambrose and punches him in the ring. Sami Zayn’s music plays and he comes to the ring to attack Owens and Owens and Rollins go to the floor.
Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins versus Sami Zayn and Dean Ambrose
Ambrose knocks Rollins off the apron and Ambrose kicks Owens in the corner before going to the floor after Rollins. Ambrose sends Rollins into the ringside barrier but Owens sends Ambrose into the ringside barrier and he kicks Ambrose. Owens brings Ambrose back into the ring and Owens kicks Ambrose and connects with an elbow to the bridge of the nose. Rollins tags in and he punches Ambrose. Rollins with punches and kicks. Rollins slams Ambrose and hits a knee drop and applies a rear chin lock and works on the neck. Ambrose kicks Rollins and punches him. Rollins with a back breaker. Owens tags in and he kicks Ambrose and he goes old timey punching motion to taunt Zayn. That gives Ambrose time to move on a back senton attempt. Rollins tags in and misses a splash into the corner. Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. Seth asks if you remember when you were kids and your parents told us that if we worked hard enough, we could achieve anything you want. Money in the Bank proved that our parents are big fat liars. No one out works him. He came back from a career threatening injury in record time. He pinned that paper champion, Roman Reigns, in the center of the ring. That was his dream and he achieved it. Where is the WWE Championship? After fighting the match of his life, that thief and scumbag Dean Ambrose came up from behind and smacked him in the back of the head and stole his WWE Title.
To make matters worse, instead of taking me on in my rematch one on one, he has to beat both Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose in a Triple Threat match at Battleground. That is fine. At Battleground, he will prove that he is and always has been and will always be the greatest member of the Shield. He says that is the truth, but that is Battleground. Seth says he wants to prove something tonight. He will prove that he is more of a man than Dean Ambrose could ever be. He is going to make a one-on-one open challenge to anyone in the locker room to come out and face him in the main event of Smackdown. Who has the guts to take on The Man? Sami Zayn’s music plays and he makes his way onto the stage and he walks to the ring. Seth shows fake enthusiasm for Sami and he asks if Sami’s master Kevin Owens let him off the leash for a few hours. He tells Sami to calm down. He says that Sami is the perfect man for him to make an example of later. It couldn’t be any better than this. Dean Ambrose’s music makes his way to the ring. He tells everyone to stop.
Seth says this is his time. Dean says they look like a couple of amateurs and he wants his set brought out. The Ambrose Asylum set it brought into the ring and Dean wants this centered. Dean welcomes everyone to the Ambrose Asylum . . . Championship Edition. Dean draws a title belt on the sign to make it official. Dean introduces the two men who are in the ring. Seth says this is the stupidest thing he has ever seen. Sami says this is exciting. He says he is a huge fan. Dean says he likes Sami’s enthusiasm. Dean asks Seth why is he being such a jackass. Seth says he has his own microphone and he does not have time for Dean’s games because he has a main event match against Sami Zayn. Dean says that Seth has a bad attitude and he might never ask for him to be his guest again. Sami wants to know why does he have to wait for the main event and why not do it now. Dean tells Sami he is the one who asks the questions so he asks the same question. Seth says that is his title and this is his time so he will wrestle Sami when he wants. Rollins comes out to a crowd happy to see him. Rollins says that he’s back, in case you hadn’t noticed. He’s had a hell of a week, but he thought of finishing this amazing week by coming to SmackDown. Rollins says that the crowd at Raw was kind of salty, but he wanted to know if the Norfolk crowd missed him? Well, Rollins wished he could say the same thing to them and drops the mic and walks to the back.
Backstage: Seth Rollins is walking in the back and he is shocked to see Kane here because he says that Kane is suspended.
Kane reminds Seth that he was only suspended for Raw.
Seth brings up that this will be Kane’s last Smackdown as the Director of Operations after he beats Demon Kane at Hell in a Cell. He tells Kane to make this a good one.
Kane says that this could be Seth’s last Smackdown as World Champion so why not let the WWE Universe see the man in action one more time.
Seth says he proved it to Shawn Michaels on Raw and he will do it tonight. He asks Kane who his opponent is.
Kane says that he will find out when he gets to the ring. He tells Seth not to feign an injury like on Raw because who knows who might be there to stop him.
Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro
They lock up and Cesaro with a waist lock take down and he floats over and then picks up Cesaro with a Karelin lift into a dead lift Side Salto. Cesaro with a crossface but Rollins is able to escape and get to the floor.
We see Stardust sitting in the crowd with Konnor and Viktor standing behind him as he holds up ‘Stardust Section’ signs.
Seth takes his title belt and starts to walk to the back and the referee makes his count. Seth thinks about it and he gets back into the ring. Cesaro with a running European uppercut and follows with three Irish whips and running European uppercuts. Cesaro with a drop kick and then he takes Rollins down and sets for the Giant Swing but Rollins gets to the ropes and apron.
Rollins goes up the ramp but Cesaro follows after him. Rollins sends Cesaro into the ringside barrier and then into the ring steps shoulder first. We go to commercial.
We are back and Rollins with a springboard knee to the temple for a near fall. Rollins with kicks to Cesaro in the corner. Rollins with a running forearm into the corner. Rollins mocks Cesaro and he charges into the corner. Cesaro sends Rollins to the top turnbuckle and Cesaro with a drop kick to send Rollins to the floor.
Cesaro with a running European uppercut and the momentum sends them both into the crowd. Cesaro rolls Rollins back in and Cesaro goes up top and hits a cross body for a near fall. Cesaro gets distracted by Stardust and Rollins with a shoulder. Rollins goes for a slingshot sunset flip but Cesaro rolls through and tries for the giant swing again. Rollins holds on to the ropes. Cesaro pulls Rollins up and he lands on his feet and hits an enzuigiri that staggers Cesaro.
Rollins with a super kick and he gets a near fall. Rollins goes up top but Cesaro moves to avoid the knee and Cesaro with a pop up European uppercut for a near fall. Cesaro with a crossface but Rollins tries to get to the ropes and Cesaro rolls into the center of the ring. Rollins is able to crawl to get his feet under the ropes.
Cesaro sends Rollins into the turnbuckles and he sets for the Gorilla superplex but Rollins lands on his feet and he drops Cesaro from the turnbuckles. Rollins with a Pedigree for the three count.
Winner: Seth Rollins
