Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.
Seth says last Monday night was supposed to be the greatest night of his life. A statue with his likeness was created in honor and recognition of the greatness that he has achieved in his career. It was set to be unveiled in front of the entire WWE Universe. It was supposed to be a moment in time that would last forever. A moment that would take him from legendary status and move him into immortality.
Seth says he understands that none of you have any idea what greatness is all about. He will explain who he is. He is the first man ever to cash in his Money in the Bank contract in the main event of Wrestlemania and walk out the WWE Champion. He is the first man in the history of WWE . . . every single legend you can think of has never achieved what he achieved when he defeated John Cena. He is the first man to be the WWE Champion and United States Champion at the same time.
That deserves more than a statue. He deserves to have a parade in every town he goes to. Hollywood should make a movie about him. Brad Pitt, George Clooney, and Channing Tatum would fight to play him in the movie.
August 23rd, the day he changed the landscape of the WWE forever when he beat John Cena should be made a national holiday. We were set to unveil his statue. He joined the elite of the elite on Raw. They were taking him to immortality. He joined Bruno, Andre, and the Ultimate Warrior. It was going to be the greatest night of his life, but instead . . . this happened.
We see the footage of Sting in a box from Raw.
Seth tells Sting he understands why you would be jealous of him. Everybody is jealous of Seth Rollins. Seth says he has accomplished in a few short years than Sting has in his entire career. Seth says he sits atop of the mountain of the WWE while you toiled around in the minor leagues for years. Seth says he gets it. He gets why Sting would be jealous of him.
Seth says what he does not understand what gives you the right to ruin his moment. To stand in his ring. To assault him without provocation. To take his title and hold it above your head like he owes you a damn thing. Do you think I am afraid of Sting? Is he afraid of a freak who walks around in face paint and carries a baseball bat?
You should be afraid of him. Hunter says the biggest regret that he has is that he did not finish you off at Wrestlemania. Seth says he demanded this match and he gets what he wanted. You will get your chance to enter the realm of the immortals. It will be the architect against the artifact Sting. Seth says he guarantees that he will defeat Sting, but he will also finish the job that Triple H started at Wrestlemania when he crushes your bones into dust.
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring. We see what happened on Raw during the main event when Sheamus almost cashed in. Seth says that he wants to slow everybody down for a second. We need to take a moment to recognize what is happening right before our very eyes. We all live very fast paced lives, but if we don’t soak up what is happening in front of us, we are taking it all for granted. Something this special does not come along every day, every month, or every year. It is beyond generational. There are no words to describe the greatness we are a part of. Babe Ruth was the greatest of all time. This would be if Babe Ruth hit 1,000 more home runs. It would have been if Michael Jordan won 20 more MVPs. This is genius that the Rolling Stones or Beatles could never have dreamt of. This is…me.
This is your WWE World Champion Seth Rollins at the top of his game. Look at the last few weeks. Monday on Raw, he tamed the Viper Randy Orton. He escaped heroically the shameless Money in the Bank Cash In Attempt by Sheamus. He brought the Man Who Gravity Forgot back down to Earth. We have to remember the cherry on top, when he shattered John Cena’s nose into a million pieces. One day, your grandchildren will ask you what was the greatest accomplishment in your life and you will tell them, I saw Seth Rollins in his prime. The craziest part of the whole thing is that there are some people who refuse to believe that the future is now. People like John Cena. John still doesn’t get it. Seth shows us what John Cena said on Tough Enough this week. Seth says there you have it. John Cena has accepted his challenge and he will face him at SummerSlam. One on one, man versus man, and title versus title. He accepted it on Tough Enough? And he had Daniel Bryan accept the challenge for him? What a coward. If John Cena is half the man he thinks he is, he challenges . . . no dares John Cena to bring his ugly mug to Raw to accept the challenge face to face. John will realize what everyone has already figured out, when you mess with greatness like this you will fail. Brock Lesnar, Neville, Randy Orton, Dean Ambrose all failed.
Neville’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Seth asks if there is a cat stuck in a tree or an old lady who needs to be walked across the street because nobody called for a superhero. Neville says that it takes a superhero to shut you up. He says he has been listening to Seth’s list of achievements, but he is disappointed in the details that Seth forgot. You broke John Cena’s nose, but he still beat you. How about if it wasn’t for Randy Orton on Raw, our new WWE World Champion would be Sheamus. Or how about the fact that little old me hit the Red Arrow and you couldn’t kick out. Seth says he thought he had Neville pegged for someone else. You aren’t a superhero. You are a mouseketeer with a Napoleon complex. You had your opportunity to shut him up a few weeks ago and…you failed. You failed like everyone else. Twist yourself around and find your cape and get out of here. Neville says that Seth talks too much. You go on and on and on and on and on. Cesaro’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring. Cesaro says that Neville is right. He goes on and on and on and on. The WWE Universe knows about it. He says the Cesaro Section is sick…Kevin Owens attacks Cesaro from behind and sends Cesaro into the ring steps while Rollins attacks Neville in the ring and hits a buckle bomb.
Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro
Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.
Seth looks very smug despite the result of the match on Monday night. He says so what? Those are two words he has been hearing day in and day out from all of you ignorant fools. Seth says he single handedly forced John Cena to put the Authority back in power and all he heard was ‘so what’. He became the first man ever to cash in the Money in the Bank briefcase in the main event of Wrestlemania and all he heard was ‘so what’. At Battleground, he stood toe to toe with the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar and he did what he said he would do. He walked in as champion and walked out as champion and all he heard was ‘so what’.
Seth says a man can only take so much. This past Monday on Raw, he reached his breaking point. The unfortunate victim of his rage was John Cena. He sent John to the emergency room with a broken nose. Seth says he pummeled and pummeled and unloaded on John Cena until his nose was smashed sideways along his face. We see the footage from Raw.
We see photos of Cena’s nose after Raw.
Seth says what he did to John Cena was gruesome. At the same time, it was kind of beautiful in a way. It was kind of heavenly, divine. It was like a piece of work. It was Michelangelo sculpting but on pscyhadelic mushroom. His face was like a Picasso and Seth says that he is an artiste.
Cesaro comes out and Seth yells at him because he was not finished.
Cesaro says that Seth was going to go on and on and on and on and on . . .
and on and on and on about how great you think you are like you do every week. Cesaro says that Seth followed the best part of the match on Raw . . . when John Cena made you tap out.
Seth says that Cena did not make him tap out, it was a strategic move because he has more to worry about than John Cena’s little title.
Cesaro tells Seth that he can think about that and he will see Seth later tonight when they have their rematch.
Seth tells Cesaro to get out of his ring . . .
Cesaro stops before leaving the ring and he says that since he is here and Seth is here, he makes Seth tap out right now.
