Roman Reigns vs. Samoa Joe vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor in a Fatal Five to determine top contender to WWE Universal champion Brock Lesnar
Everyone battled at the bell leaving Roman in the ring. They fired back and forth. Reigns nailed a Samoan Drop but Samoa Joe caught him for a potential one, only to have it reversed and Roman snapped one. Finn and Roman battled back and forth. Balor went for a kick but Roman blocked it. Joe sent Rollins to the floor and went for a dive but was nailed a Seth nailed one on Joe. Balor drilled Bray and stomped him over and over, using the ropes for leverage. He turned to Joe and Seth and gave them the same treatment. Balor nailed a big flip dive to the outside, wiping out his opposition. The battle continues with Joe tossing Roman into the barricade. Joe and Bray teamed up to drill Rollins with the steel steps. They turned to Balor and assaulted him as well before turning their attention back to Roman. Joe and Bray continued to control the landscape, taking turns beating on Finn. Rollins returned to the fray and nailed a leg lariat on Bray, then drove Joe into the buckles. He went for a dive on Bray but was nailed with a massive right hand. Bray nailed him with a DDT on the steel steps. Back in the ring, Joe sunk in the Clutch but Finn slipped out and nailed the double stomp. Wyatt brought a chair into the equation and started laying waste to everyone. He turned to Joe and teased hitting him, but turned and nailed Finn again. Joe nailed the back senton splash on Finn, who had a chair laid across his back. Not to be undone, Bray then nailed one on the chair. Joe teased he was going to attack Bray but backed off. Backstage: Seth Rollins is asked about his match against Roman Reigns. Seth says he has gotten to know Joe over the last few months but he knows Roman Reigns better than Joe. They have a complicated history. Seth says it is a war every time they are in the ring together. Seth Rollins owns Roman Reigns. He does not see how tonight is any different. When he cracks Roman in the head with his knee, it is not personal. He will be sending a message. On Sunday, he is primed to change history.

Seth Rollins versus Roman Reigns
They lock up and they go to a stalemate. Rollins with a rollup for a near fall. Rollins with a side head lock into a wrist lock. Reigns with a wrist lock. Rollins with a moonsault for a near fall. Reigns goes to the floor. Reigns with a waist lock. Reigns get Rollins on his shoulders and Rollins gets to his feet. Reigns with a punch after holding on to the ropes on an O’Connor Roll attempt. Reigns sends Rollins into the ringside barrier. Reigns hangs Rollins over the apron and Reigns with a broad jump drop kick that sends Rollins ribs first into the ring post. Reigns sets for the spear but Rollins with a kick and he clotheslines Reigns over the top rope to the floor. Rollins with a pescado onto Reigns and we go to commercial.

We are back and Reigns sends Rollins into the ringside barrier. We see footage of Rollins being sent over the top rope to the floor during the commercial break. Reigns with Neverending Story to Rollins. Reigns with a boot to Rollins. Reigns sets for the Superman punch and Rollins with a thrust kick and a flatline into the turnbuckles. Rollins with Slingblade. Rollins with a forearm into the corner and he hits another forearm. Rollins goes for a suplex but he cannot get Reigns up. Rollins with a drop kick that sends Reigns to the floor. Rollins with a suicide dive. Rollins rolls Reigns into the ring and he sets for a springboard knee but Reigns meets him with a Superman Punch for a near fall. Reigns sets for the spear but Rollins with a rollup for a near fall. Rollins with a super kick for a near fall. Rollins goes up top and Reigns with a punch to stop him. Reigns sets for a Super Samoan Drop but Rollins counters into a buckle bomb. Reigns with a Superman punch out of the corner. Rollins goes to the apron and he falls to the floor. Reigns goes to the apron and he sees Rollins get his head above the apron. Reigns sets for a spear as he runs around the ring but Rollins moves and Reigns goes into the ring steps. Rollins and Reigns return to the ring and Rollins goes up top and he hits a Blockbuster for a near fall.

Rollins goes up top again and hits a frog splash but Reigns kicks out. Rollins has something to say to Reigns and Rollins goes back up top for a Phoenix Splash. Reigns moves and Reigns runs into a boot when he tries for a spear. Reigns with a punch but Rollins with an enzuigiri. Rollins misses the Rainmaker Knee and Reigns with a spear for the three count.

Bray Wyatt versus Roman Reigns
: Roman Reigns (by disqualification)

After the match:
Wyatt attacks Reigns and then Joe with the Kokina Clutch to Wyatt. Seth Rollins’ music plays and he attacks Joe and hits a drop kick. Reigns with a Superman punch to Wyatt.

Backstage: Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are in the back and Roman says he did not need Seth’s help. Seth says he was not out there to help Roman. Kurt Angle says they are not done tonight. They will be in a tag match tonight against Bray Wyatt and Samoa Joe.

Samoa Joe and Bray Wyatt versus Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins
Rollins and Reigns argue over who should start the match. Wyatt will start for his team. Reigns goes to the apron and Rollins punches Wyatt and connects with a kick. Rollins knocks Joe off the apron and he sends Wyatt to the floor. Rollins sends Wyatt into the ringside barrier and he punches Joe on the floor. Rollins sends Wyatt back into the ring. Rollins avoids Joe but Wyatt knocks him off the apron as we go to commercial. We are back and Rollins with a drop kick to Wyatt. Reigns tags in and clotheslines Wyatt a few times. Reigns with a flying clothesline and kick followed by a Samoan drop. Reigns sets for the Superman punch but Wyatt does the crab walk. Joe distracts Reigns and Wyatt hits Reigns from behind. Reigns is sent to the floor and Joe sends Reigns into the ringside barrier. Joe slams Reigns head into the apron and they go back into the ring. Joe kicks Reigns. Continue Reading

Kurt welcomes everyone to Raw. Kurt mentions what Roman Reigns did to Braun Strowman last week. Kurt says Braun suffered a shattered elbow and could be out of action for up to six months. Kurt mentions that Braun had set his sights on the Universal Title. Kurt asks who will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title. It has to be earned so there will be a Fatal Five Way Match at Extreme Rules with the winner facing Brock Lesnar. Kurt says the competitors are Seth Rollins, Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, or Roman Reigns. Kurt says it will be historical and extreme. Roman Reigns makes his way to the ring. Roman stares at Angle and he tells Kurt they don’t need a Fatal Five Way Match because he is the number one contender. This is his yard. He beat Undertaker at Wrestlemania and he put Strowman in that ambulance. He is the only one who can beat Brock for the Universal Title. Finn Balor makes his way to the ring. Finn tells Roman exactly what he told Seth Rollins two weeks ago. He was the first Universal Champion and he never lost his title. If you want a piece of the beast, the line starts behind him. Roman says that Finn has heart but he does not have the killer instinct to beat Brock. Finn says that Roman should know what he is about because he beat Roman on his first night on Raw.

Samoa Joe’s music plays and he comes to the ring. Joe says they have it all wrong. It is not about hearts or anybody’s yard. It is not about anybody’s club. It is about actions and results. Action, he locked in the Kokina Clutch on Seth Rollins so he was unresponsive on the ground and his body goes limp. Action, he enters the Fatal Five Way and the result is that he wins. Action, he goes on to face Brock Lesnar…Bray Wyatt’s introduction interrupts Samoa Joe and Bray is in the ring. He says the beast approaches and you put on your brave faces. He feels you trembling. You will cower and you will fall. You will run. Bray…is interrupted by Seth Rollins. He says Extreme Rules is a few weeks away and New Jersey did not come here for talking. Seth says he came to fight Samoa Joe. Rollins and Joe fight in the aisle while Wyatt attacks Balor. Reigns punches Wyatt and they fight to the floor. Rollins with a dragon screw leg whip in the ropes. Wyatt hits Rollins from behind and Reigns with a Superman punch to Wyatt. Balor with a running drop kick to Rollins and Wyatt. Reigns misses a Superman punch and Balor hits Slingblade. Balor with a plancha to the floor and he returns to the ring.

Backstage: Seth Rollins is asked about his match against Bray Wyatt. Seth says that Bray called him gutless. Seth after everything he had to deal with over the last year, Bray will not be the guy who stands in the way of him winning the Universal Title. He does not have to announce to the world that he is here. His actions speak loud and clear. If anyone is going to slay the beast, it will be the man who slayed the King. Continue Reading

Backstage: Charly Caruso was interviewing Samoa Joe, who declared he wasn’t done with Seth Rollins when Seth attacked. They brawled until officials were able to separate them.

Seth Rollins vs. Samoa Joe
They began brawling around ringside, right past a trio of Taz Show signs.Joe was nailed with a clothesline off the ring steps. Rollins went to whip Joe into the barricade but Joe reversed it. Joe worked over Rollins but was kicked off as he charged in the corner. Joe blasted Rollins with an elbow as he rebounded off the ropes and began beating him in the face. Joe nailed a headbutt. He continued working over Rollins until Rollins landed on the apron. He nailed several rights but Joe used a legsweep and Rollins rudely went down and then fell to the floor. It looked awkward. When we returned from commercial, it was all the old school Joe offense, beating down Rollins and scoring several two counts. Joe kept the beating going as the crowd chanted for Rollins which sparked back and forth chants. Joe was sent through the ropes to the floor and nailed with a pair of suicide dives. Joe came back with a great scoop powerslam. Joe nailed a kick and a senton back splash for a two count. Rollins tried for a suplex but Rollins was able to turn it into a Falcon’s Arrow for a two count. Rollins nailed a kick but Joe grabbed him for a choke. Rollins drilled him in the ear to force a break.

Joe was kicked off as he went for a charge. Rollins was grabbed by Joe and grabbed the turnbuckle, which was pulled off. Rollins escaped Joe and jumped on his back but Joe slammed him into the buckles face-first. Joe slammed Rollins into the exposed buckle again, causing a DQ. Joe kept beating Rollins and locked in the choke.

Winner: Seth Rollins by DQ
