In Ring: Seth Rollins came to the ring following his victory over Samoa Joe at Payback. Rollins said that other than being sore from fighting Samoa Joe, he’s feeling pretty good. He said the last few months, he’s had the highest of highs and lowest of lows and everyone was there with him. He said that sometimes, he was so low, he just wanted to give up but that’s part of life. He said you have to overcome and look in the mirror and if you don’t like what you see, you have to overcome. He said that he looked in the mirror and realized he’s still Seth Freaking Rollins.
Rollins said that at Wrestlemania he “slayed the King of Kings” and then last night, he got payback on Samoa Joe. There’s only one thing left for him to do and that’s Brock Lesnar. He said that he wants the Beast. The crowd loved that and began chanting “Yes!” Rollins said he wanted the Universal championship. He said that he’s been to Suplex City and he’s not afraid to go back. Finn Balor’s music hit and out came the former Universal champion. Balor said that they have been on the same page and he respects him. He called Seth the “one-legged man who won at Wrestlemania.” Balor said he’s the one-armed man who won the very first Universal championship. He reminded Seth of that moment, saying his arm was hanging from his body but still beat Seth at Summerslam. Balor said that he never actually lost the title, so the line starts with him. WWE Intercontinental champion Dean Ambrose hit the ring and said, “Brock Brock Brock Brock….you all sound like a couple of chickens.” Ambrose said Brock fights when he wants and it’s not all that often. Ambrose said that Raw should be about fighting champions and he’s the holder of the number one title on Monday Night Raw. He said that he was ready to fight and gets into fights he doesn’t even know he’s in. He wants to fight. Out came Marsye and The Miz. Miz said that Balor and Rollins haven’t earned anything while Ambrose is an embarassment as champion. Miz said that the title is really him, because he made the Intercontinental championship special. Balor said he was also the latest member of the “Finn Balor just kicked my a** Club.” Miz said he cheapshotted him and that proves he’s a coward. Miz said Dean was so unimportant he didn’t even defend the belt at Payback. He called Rollins a one legged man. Rollins said that with one leg, he can run circles around Miz in the ring. Miz said it’s not a running contest, it’s a fight and he beats people up. Miz went on and on until all three told him to shut up.
Dean said that he will defend the IC title anytime and he knows everyone wants to see The Miz get beat up. He asked if the fans wanted to see Balor or Rollins beat up the Miz. The crowd loved both ideas. Dean called Kurt Angle from in the ring. He spoke with Angle and then announced Miz vs. Balor vs. Rollins to determine the top contender for the Intercontinental championship. Continue Reading
Samoa Joe vs. Seth Rollins
They made it a point to note this was only the second time they had wrestled. Joe threw some kicks towards a cautious Rollins. They locked up and Rollins was backed into the corner. Rollins fired up with a chop but was nailed with a headbutt. Joe peppered him with right hands. Joe went for a clothesline but Rollins ducked under and nailed a dropkick after he rebounded. Joe went to the floor. Rollins followed and dove down on him off the apron. They battled on the floor, where Joe tossed him over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area but Rollins came off the barricade with a clothesline. Joe was tossed into the ring but rolled back out, where Rollins nailed a pair of suicide dives. Joe came back to nail a diving forearm to the floor. He went after Rollins’ bad knee and drove down on it with a back senton splash. He measured Rollins in the corner and nailed a series of chops. Joe nailed a running back elbow into an enziguiri. It was all Joe.
Rollins fired back with clotheslines but Joe didn’t go down. Rollins nailed a forearm in the corner and snapped him down with a hangman’s neckbreaker. Rollins dove but Joe caught him and nailed the kneecapper, followed by a kneebar on the mat. Good stuff. Rollins made it to the ropes, forcing the break but the idea was that the damage had been done. Joe told Rollins he brought this upon himself and nailed a headbutt. Joe snapped him down with a powerbomb and turned into a halfcrab. Rollins tried to make it to the ropes but Joe pulled him away and locked in a Texas Cloverleaf. Rollins broke the hold with the ropes so Joe used his boot to scrape his face. Rollins cut off a charge with a forearm and drilled him with Slingblade. The idea is that one-legged Rollins was taking the fight to Joe to build sympathy Unfortunately, It’s pretty obvious the House of Horrors segment killed the momentum of the live crowd. Rollins nailed a Blockbuster off the top, which got the biggest reaction of anything in the bout thus far, despite the good work. Rollins moved out of a Joe splash and kicked him in the chest for a two count. Rollins went for the buckle bomb but through better of it. He nailed a Falcon’s Arrow for a two count. Rollins went to the top and nailed the frog splash but was grabbed at his bad knee. Joe kicked up at two. He rose like a monster in a horror film and they exchanged strikes. Rollins psyched himself up but was caught in a sleeper hold. Rollins pushed off the ropes (Bret Hart vs. Roddy Piper at Wrestlemania 8) to score a two count but Joe escaped and worked him over. Joe locked in the sleeper. Rollins pushed back and somehow had Joe’s shoulders down and scored the pin.

Anderson and Gallows attack Colin as they go to the ring and then Anderson and Gallows attack Enzo. Samoa Joe emerges and then Anderson and Gallows hit Magic Killer on Enzo. Seth Rollins comes out and he goes after Anderson and Gallows before punching Joe. Gallows and Anderson triple team Rollins, but Colin fights back into the ring. Officials check on Enzo as we go to commercial. We are back and Kurt Angle announces that he has a replacement for Enzo Amore and it is…Finn Balor.
Finn Balor, Colin Cassady, and Seth Rollins versus Samoa Joe, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows
Balor does his usual entrance so Anderson, Gallows, and Joe attack Rollins and Cassady. Finn gets to the ring and we get Colin and Luke in the ring so the match officially starts. Colin with an Irish whip and he hits a splash and follows with a fallaway slam. Rollins tags in and he goes to the turnbuckles and punches Gallows and then Balor tags in and he connects with forearms and hits a drop kick. Gallows with a punch and Anderson tags in and he kicks Finn. Anderson with a sunset flip and Balor rolls through and hits a drop kick.
Joe tags in and gives Balor an Irish whip followed by a running back elbow and enzuigiri. Joe with jabs to Balor followed by an elbow to the head. Anderson tags in and he punches Balor. Anderson with an arm bar. Anderson with a back breaker and he gets a near fall. Gallows tags in and he connects with a series of punches. Gallows with a hammer lock. Gallows with a knee and Irish whip but he runs into a boot. Gallows with a side slam as Balor charges at him. Gallows with a thrust kick to Colin on the apron. Balor moves when Gallows goes for an elbow drop. Rollins and Anderson tag in and Rollins with clotheslines and a blockbuster followed by sling blade. Anderson pushes Rollins towards Gallows and Rollins with a boot to Anderson followed by an enzuigiri to Gallows. Colin with a running boot to knock Gallows off the apron. Rollins wants Joe and Anderson tries to attack Rollins from behind. Rollins throws Anderson to the floor and hits a suicide dive. Balor with a drop kick after Joe tries to attack Rollins on the apron. Rollins with a drop kick off the turnbuckles and then he sets for the pedigree but decides to hit an accordion knee to the head and he gets the three count.
