WWE Summer Slam takes place in Los Angeles on August 18, Eric Lopez and the Man they call Mike talk to WWE’s Seth Rollins about being part of the Shield with Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns and the impact they have made in the WWE. Rollins shares his thoughts on some o the highlights of his career including coming up from FCW, being part of the Shield , debuting in the WWE at the Survivor Series in 2012, winning the tag team titles with Reigns against Kane and Daniel Bryan. Rollins also talks about how and why the Shield has worked so good together. Rollins also discusses the history of the Florida Territory in Wrestling, wrestling in Central Florida area, the new WWE Performing center in Orlando and a lot more.
July 31st, 2013: With the tag champions in the ring, The Shield’s music plays and they are on the stage. Seth Rollins says that there is good news because The Shield is back. Seth says that Corey cannot forget about them because they left him lying in a heap the last time they were here. It is nice that Corey got a tag title. Corey is almost like him and Roman. Dean tells Adrian that he is carrying around a belt but he slid into Kassius Ohno’s spot. He says that Adrian is a thief and a crook. That is an injustice. A crime punishable by the law of the Shield.
Dean tells Adrian that he won the lottery because he gets to touch greatness. He challenges Adrian to a match so Adrian can pay for his crimes. Adrian tells Dean that he talks and talks and talks. If Dean wants to face him, let’s do it. Adrian wants it a bit more interesting. Adrian tells Dean to put his US Title on the line and do it right now.
Dean asks Adrian if he knows who he is talking to. He isn’t talking to some NXT chump. He is talking to the United States Champion. The most important champion in this industry. They will do it, but it will happen next week. Adrian says that he guesses he will have to wait until next week before he destroys the Shield piece by piece and brick by brick, starting with Dean. The Shield vs. Mark Henry and the Uso Brothers
Rollins and Jimmy Uso started the match. Jimmy managed to gain the upper hand and tagged in his brother for a series of team spots. Rollins tagged out to Ambrose, but The Usos managed to retain control. Henry tagged into the match to a strong reaction from the live crowd. Henry worked over Ambrose until Reigns caused a distraction. Henry cleared Reigns and Ambrose from the ring and The Usos cut off Rollins from attacking Henry from behind. An Uso hit Rollins with a wrecking ball and Henry set up to do the same, but the Shield dragged Rollins to the floor. The Shield regrouped on the outside.
Back from the break, the babyfaces continued to get the best of The Shield. Reigns managed to catch Jimmy Uso with an elbow, and the Shield began working quick tags to keep him on their side of the ring. Jey Uso got the hot tag, but Rollins quickly caught him with an enziguri before he could mount much of an offense. The heels continued to dominate the latter half of the match. Eventually, Jey got the hot tag off to Henry, and Henry wasted no time in running through The Shield. Henry tagged Jimmy Uso back into the match, but Rollins hit a curb stomp out of nowhere. Dean Ambrose covered the fallen Uso for the 1-2-3.
Winners: The Shield in 14:59.
The Shield cut a promo backstage about how men like Mark Henry were tired wastes of space. Dean Ambrose put over himself and his partners as the new measurement stick for the industry. Rollins said that no one could catch them. Reigns said there is no end to them, there is no end to Justice. Reigns said, “Believe in that, believe in The Shield.”
The Shield’s music plays and they make their way to the ring.
They surround the ring on three sides and Daniel Bryan sneaks into the ring on the fourth side and it looks like we have a Teddy Long ‘we have an even number of people so we are going to have a match’ match.
Brad Maddox makes his way onto the stage. Since no one can get along, why not have a six man tag match in the main event. The Shield versus Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, and John Cena.
Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, and John Cena versus Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns in a We Miss Teddy, but we will let someone else make a six man tag match because six people are in the ring Match
Orton and Rollins start things off and Rollins with kicks and punches. Orton with punches but Rollins punches back. Rollins with kicks in the corner and the referee stops Rollins. Orton sends Rollins into the turnbuckles and he punches Rollins. Orton with a clothesline into the corner.
Orton with a suplex and he gets a near fall. Bryan tags in and he goes up top and hits a missile drop kick. Ambrose tags in and Bryan goes after Reigns on the apron. Bryan with punches and he flips over Ambrose in the corner and Bryan with a flying clothesline. Bryan with a suicide dive onto Ambrose and he sends Dean back into the ring. Bryan takes care of Rollins on the floor but Ambrose kicks Bryan off the apron. Continue Reading
