Seth Rollins comes out and he asks Kevin if he is going to retire him. He tells Chris if he is going to put something on that list, why not put that terrible scarf on there. You can add the rinky dink tattoos, the mustache, and the sparkle crotch gear. Chris says he is not ‘sparkle crotch’. He tells Seth for what he said . . .Seth says that he is probably on the list. Chris says he is not . . . but Seth says you should put your friendship with Kevin Owens on the list because what friend stands around and watches you get pedigreed two weeks in a row. Kevin says that is why Seth has no friends. You are not a good person. They are good friends because they have talked about what has gone on and one of them has to stay strong for the team. Seth points out that Kevin stays strong and Chris is weak. Chris points out he is a six time world champion. He says he is the best in the world at what he does. He has G.O.A.T. on the back of his trunks for a reason. Chris says he can beat Rollins any time, any place, anywhere.

Seth says Denver is as good a place as any. Why not get to fighting now. Seth wants to know what will Kevin do. Will he be sent to the back so you can prove you can beat him. Do you let him stay out and be the world’s ugliest cheerleader and watch Chris get pedigreed for the third week in a row. Chris tells Kevin he is leaving, but Kevin wants to stay because of what has happened recently. Kevin wants to know if Chris is sure. Chris says Kevin says it is better for the team for one to take the bullet. Chris says he knows all of the tricks. They are still best friends. It does not change the fact that Kevin has his back. Chris needs to show Seth, the stupid idiots in the building, and the people at home who he is. Kevin says that Chris can do it and he will be there in spirit.

Seth Rollins versus Chris Jericho
Jericho with a kick and punches. Jericho hits a belly-to-back suplex and then he kicks Rollins in the back. Jericho with a chop and forearms. Jericho with an Irish whip but Rollins with a clothesline out of the corner followed by a chop and kick. Rollins with a drop kick and Jericho goes to the apron. Rollins with a running boot to the head after he goes to the floor. Jericho goes for butterfly back breaker and he hits it and gets a near fall. Jericho catapults Rollins’ throat into the middle rope and Rollins goes to the floor. Jericho goes to the floor and he sends Rollins into the ringside barrier. Jericho with a hot shot and they return to the ring.

Backstage: Seth Rollins stares at something in the back and he is asked by Charly about what just happened. Seth says Stephanie loves to pull the strings, but if her Plan A is to turn things into an episode of Table of 3, she will crush those plans. It will be him and Kevin Owens inside Hell in a Cell. Plans B through Z will be obsolete. Seth says he was the best piece that Stephanie had, but she cannot control him any more. What does Kevin Owens think about Stephanie’s decision. Will Chris be his best friend, or will he do what it takes to become the Universal Champion. He is no longer just a piece in the game, he is the man who will destroy that machine piece by piece.

Chris Jericho versus Seth Rollins
Jericho throws his scarf at Rollins and Rollins kicks Jericho. The referee pulls Rollins out of the corner. Rollins rubs Jericho’s scarf on his rear end and he throws it at Jericho. Rollins with punches but Jericho wtih a rake of the eyes. They exchange chops and then Rollins with a kick and he gets a near fall. Jericho tries to hide behind the referee but Rollins stops him and Rollins punches Jericho. Rollins with a boot as Jericho charges into the corner and Rollins with a Blockbuster for a near fall. Jericho goes to the floor to regroup. Rollins with a baseball slide to knock Jericho down on the floor. Rollins sends Jericho into the ringside barrier. Rollins Irish whips Jericho into the ringside barrier and then he goes into the ring to break up the count. Rollins with a double sledge off the apron. Rollins sends Jericho into the ring steps. Rollins sends Jericho back into the ring and Kevin Owens’ music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Jericho kicks Rollins and Jericho drops Rollins on the top rope and we go to commercial with Rollins holding his ribs in pain. We are back and Jericho kicks Rollins. Rollins with a kick and chop to Jericho followed by punches. Jericho with knees to the ribs. Jericho puts Rollins on the turnbuckles and connects with forearms to the kidneys. Jericho with a boot to the ribs that knocks Rollins off the ropes. Jericho slaps Rollins a few times. Rollins slaps back and he chops and slaps Jericho. Jericho with an abdominal stretch. Rollins gets out of the hold and sends Jericho to the mat. Jericho is sent into the turnbuckles with a flatliner. Jericho and Rollins with forearms. Jericho with a kick and Rollins with a clothesline and enzuigiri. Rollins with two forearms into the corner and then hits Slingblade when he ducks a Jericho clothesline. Rollins gets a near fall. Rollins with an elbow and Jericho with a knee to the midsection. Jericho gets Rollins on his shoulders but Rollins escapes and hits a back breaker for a near fall. Rollins goes to the apron and he avoids a shoulder from Jericho and kicks Rollins. Rollins goes up top and Jericho crotches Rollins. Jericho goes for a superplex but Rollins blocks it and he sends Jericho to the mat.

We take a look at an interview taped earlier with Seth Rollins. Seth is asked about the ribs and he says he was cleared to wrestle, but they told him to rest. He was told not to be at Raw, but he is here. Cole is interrupted and Seth says Kevin Owens may have won the match, but he was handed the title by Triple H. He deserves a rematch after what happened at Clash of Champions. Cole brings up that people compare Owens’ rise to Seth’s. Seth says he has alienated a lot of people in the locker room. They have both had success but Kevin does half the work and gets the promotion. He is the teacher’s pet. Triple H handed Kevin the Universal Title. He was not handed anything when he cashed in the briefcase at Wrestlemania. Everyone has a Kevin Owens in their lives, but he has THE Kevin Owens in his life. Cole asks Seth about being replaced by Kevin Owens in the friendship with Triple H. Seth says you cannot replace Seth Rollins. Kevin is a cog in the machine. Seth says his eyes are wide open and he sees things differently. He will destroy that machine piece by piece. It starts with Kevin Owens and the Universal title. Cole asks how things will occur if he gets his title match. Seth says he had Kevin beaten but then the referee gets knocked out. Stephanie takes her time bringing a referee to the ring. The forces are against him. Things will play out with Seth Rollins canceling the Kevin Owens Show. He will prove to the world that he is the man.

Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens versus Big E and Xavier Woods (with Kofi Kingston)
Seth Rollins’ music plays and he comes to the stage. Owens is distracted and that allows Woods to hit an enzuigiri. Jericho and Big E tag in and Big E with two overhead belly-to-belly suplexes. Jericho with a kick and he is sent over the top rope but Jericho lands on the apron and he goes up top. Big E catches Jericho and hits an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Owens with a super kick and then Owens is sent to the floor. Woods with a plancha as Jericho gets a near fall with a rollup. Big E with an elbow and splash. Woods tags in and Owens drops Big E on the top rope. Woods with an enzuigiri to Owens. Jericho with the Walls of Jericho but Rollins runs to the ring to distract Jericho. Big E tags in and they hit the Midnight Hour for the three count.
Winners: Big E and Xavier Woods
After the match: Rollins picks up Jericho and hits a Pedigree.

Backstage: Seth Rollins is walking in the back and Stephanie McMahon wants to know what Seth is doing. She tells him he is not cleared to wrestle. Seth says he is not going to listen to Stephanie any more. Stephanie agrees with Seth that he is all alone. There is no Shield and no Authority. You will not last long. You will prove that you are replaceable just like everybody else.

Seth says Stephanie lost the privilege to tell him what to do when your husband stabbed him in the back. He says that was the second biggest mistake Hunter did. Stephanie asks what is the worst decision he made and Seth says it was him marrying Stephanie. Seth tells Stephanie that if he does not get his rematch, he will burn Raw to the ground and he will take Kevin down with him.

Backstage: Mick Foley stops Seth Rollins and asks him how is he feeling. Seth says he will be fine soon enough and he says nothing will stop him from going out during the Highlight Reel. Kevin Owens deserves pay back. Mick says Seth is not medically cleared. Seth says he saw Stephanie get in that limo and he won’t let Kevin brag about what happened. He says he hears Stephanie’s words come out of Mick’s mouth.

In Ring: Chris Jericho comes out for the Highlight Reel. Chris says Seth Rollins is on the list because poor Seth got hurt again. Chris says he has never been hurt in 17 years in WWE while Seth is on the injured list AGAYNE. The man who put Seth on the injured list is Chris’ guest tonight. He is Chris’ best friend and the longest reigning Universal Champion in WWE history . . . Kevin Owens. Kevin says this is really nice and he says it looks expensive. Jericho says it cost $6,500 5 years ago. Chris says a wise man once said that people who strive for mediocrity lack excellence. He says Kevin is the epitome of excellence. Kevin says he would normally be out here with a suit, but this is Cincinnati. He says he isn’t going to wear a suit in a city that gave us Dean Ambrose. He calls Dean a bum. Kevin says last night he proved to the world he is exactly who he says he is. He should have been the number one pick on Raw. He does not just belong in the main event, he is the main event. He proved that he is THE MAN. Not only did he retain his title, he hurt Seth Rollins and put him on the injured list. Don’t feel bad because what happened last night was karma. He walked around like the man for a year and a half.

Look at who he injured. He hurt The Great John Cena, the Icon Sting, and the Demon King Finn Balor. Seth was the most dangerous man in the WWE and Kevin took him out so that means it makes him the Most Dangerous Man In WWE.

Seth Rollins comes out and he is told to stay back by Fit Finlay and WWE security. Mick Foley comes out. Kevin tells them to take Seth to the back and then get a doctor’s note saying Seth cannot wrestle because Kevin Owens broke him in half. Seth goes to the back.

Backstage: A pissed off Seth Rollins told Mick Foley and Stephanie McMahon that they bet against the wrong guy and told Steph to go tell her husband that as well.

Kevin Owens vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Universal Championship
Owens right to the floor at the bell to try and get inside Rollins’ head. Seth went to the floor so Owens returned to the ring and challenged him to fight. Owens caught him with a right and tried to whip Rollins into the barricade but it was reversed. Rollins stomped him in the corner. Seth came off the apron with a leaping knee to the face. Rollins scored a two count.Rollins scored several two counts and nailed a Blockbuster off the ropes for another two count. Owens rolled to the outside apron and nailed Rollins. Seth went for a pedigree but backdropped Owens to the apron. Owens drilled him with a kick to the back of his knee and nailed a DDT for a two count. Rollins began limping and the announcers pointed out that he had undergone reconstructive surgery on the knee. Owens began working on Rollins, telling him Raw was his show. Rollins fired back with punches and they each peppered the other. Owens continued to go after Rollins’ knee. He backdropped Rollins over the top to the floor. Owens nailed the Cactus Elbow off the apron. Rollins made his way back to the ring but was snapmared over and hit with a back senton splash for another two count. Owens cinched in a side chinlock, wearing down the challenger. Owens was great at verbally tearing down Rollins and putting himself over. Rollins fired out but the crowd wasn’t responding like he was a big babyface. Owens whipped Rollins hard into the buckles. He sent Seth into the buckles again. Rollins made a comeback and drilled Owens in the corner. He slammed Owens into the buckles and drilled him over his knees for a two count. Rollins dropkicked Owens out of the ring and then sent him into the barricade. Rollins set up the Spanish Announcing Table.

Owens and Rollins returned to the ring and went back and forth with reversals until Rollins nailed a superkick for a two count. He went for a Pedigree but Owens slipped out and drilled him in the knee. Owens nailed a cannonball in the corner for a two count. Owens went for the package piledriver but Rollins slipped out. he nailed a big knee. Owens nailed a kick but Rollins caught him with an enziguiri and they both went down. Owens sent him into the corner but missed the cannonball. Rollins was caught with a series of knees for a two count. They battled to the top. Owens came off the top with a gutbuster but Rollins appeared to take it across his side. It looked brutal. Owens followed up with a frog splash for a two count. Rollins went to the floor and was clutching at his ribs. Owens brought him over to the exposed announcers’ table and placed him across it. Owens stepped atop the other announcers’ table. He went to do a back senton splash through Rollins but Seth rolled out of the way and Owens crashed through. Rollins tossed him and came off the top with a flying knee. He ascended to the top again and nailed a frog splash but Owens was able to get his shoulder up before the three count.
