Seth Rollins’ music hits and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion comes out to the ring to deliver a promo. Rollins comes out with J&J Security behind him, but says in his promo that on Sunday at Extreme Rules he won’t need them or Kane to defeat Randy Orton and retain the title. Kane’s music hits.
Kane and Rollins argue with one another. Rollins brings up the fact that Kane lost to John Cena on Monday Night RAW. Kane then rings up the fact that since he laid down for Rollins in a match on RAW, that they should fight again. Kane brings out a referee and makes J&J Security leave the ring. The two are now set for a match against one another starting next.
Kane vs. Seth Rollins is set to happen, but Rollins is vocal against the idea of laying down for Kane. Kane yells at Rollins to lay down and he does, very cautiously. Kane then tells him he was just messing with him and pulls him off the ground. Then, Kane announces Dean Ambrose as Rollins’ opponent instead. Ambrose comes down the ramp but then Luke Harper’s music hits. Harper and Rollins have Ambrose cornered on the ramp, and Ambrose elects to attack Rollins in the ring. J&J Security, Rollins, and Harper jump Ambrose in the ring and begin to beat him down. Then Roman Reigns’ music hits and the two former Shield members clear the ring.
Dean Ambrose/Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins/Luke Harper is announced as the main event.
Backstage: Rollins and J&J Security are shown walking around trying to find Harper. Jamie Noble says that he’s cousins with Harper. Harper warns Rollins to not get in his way.
Dean Ambrose & Roman Reigns vs. Luke Harper & Seth Rollins (w/ J&J Security & Kane)
Ambrose and Harper start off the match. Kane is sitting ringside. A couple minutes into the match, Reigns finally gets a chance to go one-on-one against Rollins, who cost him the title at Wrestlemania 31. Later in the match, Reigns gets on a roll and takes out both Harper and Rollins after Ambrose gets taken out. Reigns goes for the Superman Punch on Harper, but J&J Security distract him. Reigns delivers a nifty double-Superman Punch to J&J Security, but then gets rolled up by Harper. Reigns rolls out of the pin attempt and hits the Superman Punch on Harper. Rollins breaks up the pin and two and a half.
Ambrose then hits an elbow off the top rope on a standing Rollins. Ambrose knocks Harper out of the ring and then dives through the ropes after him. Harper picks up Ambrose on the outside and throws him into the timekeeper’s area. Reigns hits Harper with a clothesline and then goes for the spear after dragging him back into the ring. Reigns gets distracted again, this time by Rollins. Reigns punches Rollins in the jaw and knocks him to the outside. When Reigns turns around, he gets superkicked by Harper and bounces off the ropes into another one. Harper covers him, but Reigns kicks out at two.
Rollins tags into the match for a minute and then tags Harper back in. Harper hits the spinning clothesline on Reigns, but Ambrose returns and breaks up the pin. Ambrose and Rollins get tagged into the match. Ambrose knocks both Harper and Rollins to the outside next to J&J Security, along the barricade. Ambrose jumps to the top rope and dives to the outside on all four men with his elbow. The crowd is chanting, “This is awesome!”
Kane gets up from his chair and tosses Rollins back into the ring. Ambrose rolls back in as well, tagging Reigns in the corner. Reigns tags in and hits the spear on Rollins for the pinfall victory.
