Hunter says ‘Daddy’s Home’ and he says it is funny because that is what he says to his children when he comes home from a trip. Immediately they behave better. It seems like that is something he needs to say to his director of operations and to the WWE Champion. You leave for a couple of weeks to . . . run a billion dollar company and people cannot do what you ask them to do. He did not ask them to like each other or hang out. He just wanted them to do what he asked them to do.
He will not let this get derailed due to someone’s unchecked ego. It will be solved tonight. Hunter asks for Kane and Seth Rollins to come to the ring.
Seth comes to the ring and he is joined by Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble.
Seth welcomes back Hunter and he says they missed him. He wanted to be the first to say that they are on the same page. Seth tells Hunter to ignore the chants for local boy Dean Ambrose. Seth says that he cannot function at the top of his game when there is a seven foot cancer trying to poison it from the inside. Is Kane jealous that Seth is the man and he will never be the man.
Seth tells everyone he is trying to talk to his boss while the crowd chants that he sold out. Seth says it seems like it is Kane’s mission to have him lose his title. First, there was the app vote where Kane allowed the people to make a Triple Threat Match. Then last week, Dean Ambrose was added to make it a Fatal Four Way. Seth asks the people if they are happy that he chanted his stupid name.
Seth points out that it is more a three on one handicap match on Sunday. Kane has put him in situations where his health was put at risk. Seth says that he doesn’t think Kane is fit to be director of operations. Seth says he knows that Hunter has known Kane for years, but this is not the same Kane. He is broken and cannot be fixed. Maybe it is time to take Kane out back and put that dog out of his miseries.
Kane’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Kane tells Seth he may be older than him and with age comes wisdom. His many years of experience tells him to choke Seth by his turkey neck and choke slam him straight to hell.
Seth says this is what he is talking about and Kane threatens him. Kane tells Seth to be a man. Seth tells Hunter to do something about this.
Hunter tells Kane he respects him . . . but . . . you need to get on the same page as the rest of us. You need to check your ego aside. Hunter says Seth can be a little irritating and you want to punch him in the face, but you don’t because Hunter says you don’t and he is what is best for business. Right now, Kane leaves him no choice but to say if Seth does not walk out of Payback as WWE Champion, maybe your services as Director of Operations will no longer be needed.
Kane tells Hunter it is a shame he feels that way. As much as he respects Hunter, it might be worth it to eviscerate Seth.
Seth says it is direct insubordination but Hunter tells Seth to shut up.
Hunter tells Kane to let him know right now if this is not something he can do. If so, this is a place to amicably part ways. Hunter says that appears not to be what he wants so he wants to know they are on the same page. All four participants in the Fatal Four Way Match will be in action tonight. Hunter wants to know that Kane is invested in this so he will give him a reason. Kane will face Roman Reigns.
Seth Rollins . . . you will face in the main event . . . Randy Orton.
Jamie Noble tells Hunter with all due respect it is easy to stroll in in your limo and do things. Seth Rollins is the man here.
Hunter asks Jamie and Joey if they are still here because there is another man in the Fatal Four Way who needs to be in a match. He should be in that match right now. Hunter gets on Jamie and Joey’s level. Since you two stack up to a full man, you can wrestle Dean Ambrose in a handicap match. Hunter tells Kane and Seth to come with him.
Randy Orton versus Seth Rollins in a Non Title Match
They lock up and Rollins with a side head lock into a hammer lock but Orton with a reversal and side head lock take down. Rollins with a head scissors and Orton escapes. Rollins with a side head lock and shoulder tackle. Orton with a back elbow. Rollins with kicks and punches to Orton. Orton sends Rollins to the mat by the hair and then he sends Rollins into the corner on an Irish whip.
Rollins with a Michaels flip in the corner and then Orton with a clothesline. Orton with the Garvin stomp. Orton with a knee drop and he gets a near fall. Orton with a back breaker. Rollins with a flatline into the turnbuckles followed by a Harley Race knee to the back to send Orton through the ropes and to the floor.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Rollins with a reverse chin lock on Orton. Orton with a head butt to get out of the hold. Rollins with a slingblade for a near fall. Rollins with a knee to Orton followed by an Irish whip. Rollins gets sent to the apron by Orton and Orton crotches Rollins on the top rope. Orton stands in front of Rollins who is still feeling the effect of falling on his ding ding.
Orton with a superplex and both men are down. Rollins with punches and Orton with head butts. Orton throws in punches as well. Orton with a kick. Rollins with more punches. Orton with a European uppercut and punches. Rollins punches back but Orton with the advantage. Rollins with a kick to the midsection.
Orton with two clotheslines and he ducks a clothesline and Orton sets for the power slam but Rollins holds on to the ropes. Orton runs into a boot and then Rollins goes to the turnbuckles but Orton catches Rollins and hits a power slam for a near fall. Orton is dropped on the top rope by Rollins and Rollins with an enzuigiri from the apron.
Rollins with a springboard knee to the head and he gets a near fall. Rollins sets for a buckle bomb but Orton escapes and he tries for a back breaker but Rollins lands on his feet. Orton with a t-bone suplex that sends Rollins to the apron. Orton tries for the IEDDT but Rollins gets back into the ring and Orton with an enzuigiri to send Orton to the floor. Rollins with a suicide dive that sends Orton into the ringside barrier but Rollins hits the barrier as well and both men are down.
Rollins is up first and he sends Orton back into the ring. Rollins misses a splash into the corner. Orton tries for an RKO but Rollins counters into a rollup. Rollins with a super kick to Orton but he can only get a near fall. Rollins twists to the mat and pounds the mat and does the Orton pose. Rollins picks up Orton for the buckle bomb but Orton counters with a back body drop and Rollins lands on his feet. Orton sends Rollins to the apron and he hits the IEDDT.
Orton looks around and then he twists to the mat and shows Rollins how to pound it. Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble attack Orton and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Randy Orton (by disqualification)
After the match, Mercury and Noble attack Orton but Orton sends Noble into the post and he punches Mercury. Orton clotheslines Rollins, but Rollins fights back.
Kane’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.
Kane picks up a chair from ringside and he brings it into the ring. Rollins thinks that Kane is going to use it on Orton but since Kane takes his time, they attack Orton.
Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns come into the ring. Mercury and Noble are sent to the floor. The three challengers surround Rollins while Kane stands on the floor with the chair. Ambrose hits the double underhook DDT on Rollins. Ambrose picks up Rollins for Reigns to hit the spear on Rollins.
Kane continues to stand on the floor with the chair. Reigns and Ambrose discuss something and they pick up Rollins for an RKO. Reigns with a spear to Orton and Ambrose with a double underhook DDT to Reigns.
Ambrose stands tall in the ring while Kane stands outside the ring like a statue.
