Backstage: Triple H and Stephanie are looking at photos of Dean Ambrose in New Orleans. Seth Rollins says that it is disgusting that Dean stole his title and is rubbing it in their face. Seth wants to know what they are going to do about it.
Stephanie reminds Seth of what he said last week, unless he reconsiders his decision. Seth says he meant what he said about J&J Security and Kane. Seth says he has always had the utmost respect for Stephanie and Triple H.
Hunter tells Seth they don’t need his help. Stephanie says that Seth will do what he does best and retain the title because Seth can beat Dean on his own. Hunter says he thought they would let Seth pick his opponent for tonight so he can show that he can do it on his own.
Seth thanks Hunter and Stephanie for having the confidence in him.
Backstage: Seth Rollins is in the locker room and Jamie and Joey enter. Jamie says he knows that when people are angry they say things they don’t mean. You did not mean what you said earlier about them. Jamie says that Joey is sensitive. Jamie says they would be honored to be in Seth’s corner.
Seth says that Joey forgives him? He meant everything that he said. He plucked them from obscurity to make them relevant. All he asked for was a little competence. If you weren’t the biggest morons in WWE history, Dean Ambrose wouldn’t have the WWE Title with him.
Jamie tells Seth ‘Screw You’. If it wasn’t for them, you wouldn’t be champion. They are the Shield 2.0. Are you going to turn on them just like you turned on The Shield? Jamie says that Seth wouldn’t last a minute if it wasn’t for the Authority.
Seth says that he was given the chance to wrestle anyone he wanted so he will wrestle both of you. He will prove how good he is by beating both of you in a handicap match.
Seth slaps Jamie, but Jamie slaps back. Joey says you think they are a couple of jokes, but they are not. They have had his back since day one and tonight, they are going to kick Seth’s ass.
Backstage: Kane enters the locker room and he points out that Dean has been all over New Orleans with the belt. He wishes Seth luck, but Seth says he does not need luck. Kane says Seth is in a no win situation. He can beat Dean on Sunday and then while he is celebrating, he will freeze in his place when Kane comes to the ring to cash in and he wins the title and keeps it with the Authority.
Or Seth can be exposed and Dean will win the title, then Kane will cash in and become champion.
Seth says that he does not need anyone’s help to keep the title. After he finishes with J&J, he will show Dean what he will do on Sunday. If you win on Sunday, he dares Kane to try to cash in because he will put his foot in Kane’s ugly, smug, disgusting, and sweating face.
Kane tells Seth that he will be in J&J’s corner tonight.
Backstage: Seth Rollins is in the office with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie and Hunter remind Seth that Dean is at ringside with the title belt. Stephanie and Hunter asks Seth if he wants anything from them.
Seth Rollins vs. Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury (with Kane)
Mercury starts things off and Rollins pushes Mercury away. They lock up and Rollins with a wrist lock but Mercury with a reversal and he works on the arm. Rollins with a reversal of his own. Noble tags in and Rollins with a side head lock. Noble with a wrist lock and side head lock. Rollins with a shoulder tackle and he sends Noble to the floor. Mercury is sent to the floor as well and Rollins holds the ropes for them to get back into the ring.
Noble, Mercury, and Kane surround Rollins. Mercury and Noble work over Rollins while Kane distracts the referee. Rollins is clotheslined over the top rope and then he is by Ambrose who pours popcorn on Rollins’ head. Mercury tags in and hits a springboard drop kick for a near fall. Mercury with an arm drag into an arm bar. Mercury with a wrist lock but Rollins with a short arm clothesline and then he sends Noble off the apron. Mercury is sent to the floor and then into the ringside barrier.
Rollins slaps Mercury and kicks him. Rollins sends Mercury into the ringside barrier right in front of Ambrose. Rollins sends Mercury back into the ring and Rollins with a running forearm. Rollins pushes Mercury away and Mercury misses a punch when Rollins moves. Rollins stomps on the hand and he kicks Joey to the mat. Rollins with a hard Irish whip.
Mercury with a sunset flip for a near fall. Rollins with a running back elbow and a rear chin lock. Rollins goes up top but Mercury moves. Mercury misses a splash into the corner and both men are down. Noble tags in and he connects with a running back elbow. Noble with another back elbow and shoulder tackle. Noble with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.
Noble goes up top but Rollins stops him and Noble is on the apron. Rollins suplexes Noble back into the ring but Mercury holds on to the leg but Rollins kicks out. Noble tries for an O’Connor Roll but Rollins holds on to the ropes and Rollins with a super kick to Noble. Rollins kicks Mercury and hits a buckle bomb into Noble and then he sends Mercury to the floor.
Rollins sets for the Pedigree and Ambrose throws the title belt into the ring and Rollins pushes Noble out of the way. Mercury tags in and rolls up Rollins for the three count.
Winners: Jamie Noble & Joey Mercury
After the match: Seth is in shock but he shows the title belt. Ambrose kicks Rollins and hits the double underhook DDT and Ambrose takes the title belt and leaves the ring and Kane, Noble, and Mercury do nothing about it even though Dean goes up the ramp a few feet behind them.
